Nice haul Grant! I've always been half tempted to buy one of those mobile displays where LJ is right dead center and I love the artwork on it. My main worry is display space, but there has been some great deals on them lately. Also, that's the first time I've seen the counter display for the glasses too.

Grant awsome glasses display. I t would look great with my glassess in it. As for Franks sticker...I made it special just for him....and glad to see he posted it proudly.

Amazing haul there Grant. Where do you get all your shop displays and 'oddball' stuff from nowadays?? When I was into it there was loads on Ebay and I used to get most of my stuff from there. Looking now there seems to hardly be any.

Tim, nice B-wing Pilot. As Iain said, stick him in the sun for a few hours. Will do the trick!!

Nice b wing pilot Tim. Good price mate and a couple of hours in the sun should sort him out!
Good score Frank and great haul Maulster. Loving the bookmarks mate and the display pieces are cool. You're gonna need a bigger display room soon :D

From all over the place. Some from RS but mostly ebay. This lot i got from ebay but contacted the seller and he said he had loads more that he could dig out. It was a transaction that took two months of emailing and fingers crossed.

The reason why theres hardly any oddball stuff on ebay now is because im an oddball predator and snap it all up. But really- there isnt as much UK oddball stuff as there was 10 years ago. Maybe collectors have it all or its been lost in international post. :)

Grant, are these bookmarks of value? I bought some stuff from Todd Chamberlain last months and he sent 2 of these along with my purchase. I'm sure it's the Yoda one, I can check if the other is one you don't have and if you want, you can have it for the costs of shipping. But I'll have to check when I'm at home.

Been waiting to find this little fella for a while (thanks to Greg) im well pleased with him

I got these from Todd- he gave me a couple in a transaction i did with him and i liked them so i bought the set. I have 4 bookmarks spare so thought i'll add them to any next sale or swap i do at SWF as a freebie. Thanks for the offer though Dennis.

Hey Jim- How long did you put the B-Wing pilot in the sun for? I have same problem with a snaggletooth.

Bloody hell Grant, some cracking items there m8, you sure will be needing a bigger display area at the rate your going, really impressive haul for sure 8)

& Tim nice to see the sun did the trick on your B-wing pilot, wish it would work as well on my Fett :( great going that the figure is also a weapons error card - mega bonus that is.

I had a huge haul get here today myself, so will update the thread when I have time.

EDIT: - great score on the pop up R2 Tim, its a bitch to find in good condition.

Hey Tim I am glad you picked up that B-wing Pilot, the frosting came right off which is great!

Nice haul Maulster!

Maulster, the sun only needed just over an hour to work it's magic :D

And a bonus as i never spotted the weapon :D :D :D :D

Well I had a shock this morning as I was expecting a nice parcel to turn up which it did with my recent buy from here being the Palitoy Pin Head Han, which though a little battered bubble wise I am bloody thrilled to bits about as he was always my most played with figure as a kid, but another parcel turned up which its been a very long wait for as I have had to save long & hard for this item, the SO Tie which is in NRFB condition pretty much with both baggies, so thats the first step on a long term payment plan completed at long last, only another 12 months of it to go  :| but it will be worth it IMO.

If you get one tenth the kick out of looking at these as I did unpacking them this morning you will be feeling great, my other half said I was grinning like the Cheshire cat & boy does it feel great to finally own one after the Dermot fiasco a while back.

Sorry for any scroll button wear guys

******' awesome, dude. Well chuffed for you, I know how you must feel and how bad you wanted this. :)
So excited to see what's coming in 12 months if you managed to get that SO Tie that quickly.

Tim, Nice pop up R2 and the B-Wing pilot turned out nicely!

Frank, what a haul! Palitoys, multipacks, and a SO Tie Fighter. Those are not the easiest things to find and to have them all turn up the same day. Very nice!

Nice going everyone. That TT Jawa is awesome and Frank great haul of new pick ups. Keep them coming. 8)

Frank, the tie is awesome. Bet you are over the moon. At least the lady indoors was happy for ya, and not looking at you like a loon.

Tops.

Warning... Mouse scrollers will be damaged. 8)

I have received some stuff from here and there during the last 3-4 weeks which I was always too lazy to take pics of or just didn't have the time.

7251336946_d706e17878_b.jpg

When I did the post processing of the pics I saw that due to the angle it seems Luke and Leia have something to hide in their faces. But no, they have perfect faces. I once bought a beater Leia Poncho MOC from weasel and the plan was to rip her from the card... I couldn't do it and so had to get another one. A similar story goes with the Emperor. I got a Kenner baggie from Chris and I wanted to open it. Again I couldn't do it... :P
All figures in this pic came from Iain, except the C-3PO which came from Bram, who got it from Lee (skywalker73) before. It all stays in the fam. They are all VERY minty. 6 Last 17s to go now. 8)

7251346226_7a95b35743_b.jpg

All these figures came from Liam. One figure is missing there, an AT-AT Commander with a nose chip, this one went to my mum for restauration, she's a master in that and since this is going to stay with me and was cheap I thought I can her touch it up. Curious to see the outcome.

7251347346_d4d34e2e6d_b.jpg

These came from eBay UK, all from the same seller. (ID: clear-your-house-auctions) The description said that the seller was selling his own collection and he sold about 30-40 figures, COO variants among them, etc. The Stormtrooper is so minty (colour-wise, legs are a little loose), that I fear that I have been pooned. Cheaper than chips these 3.

7251342000_6fcdb8f5ed_b.jpg

These were even cheaper than the 3 before, I got them from a German SW forum. The Imperial Commander in the middle has some weird spots in his face, looks as if he is sick, but it looks worse in the pic than it actually is.

Thanks to tigerham for this. Box is in nice condition...

7251349772_d8b7460522_b.jpg

... and the playset is unused. 8) Will get a black ROTJ MIB Jabba later too as I like that box more.

The next 2 are for all you Palitoy heads. :) This came from eBay too, I mailed the seller and asked if he would sell this (and the next one to me) directly (without eBay & Paypal fee) and he agreed, well, he had another copy of each. Guess they will look great framed.

I can never resist a Boushh. :P Thanks to Bram for this one.

7251362758_651018082d_b.jpg

Got this one from eBay Germany. I already have this on since over a month, but didn't upload it here as when it arrived I was thinking about giving it back. It was advertised as having a perfect bubble, no dings, no dents, but there is a small dent on the bottom left corner of the bubble. You can't actually see it looking at it up front, but I know it's there and usually I don't like that... but since the card is so nice overall and unpunched, we agreed on a partial refund.

Now on to one of my new side focuses.

Funny story about this buy. I was scanning rebelscum from 35mm slides and found a - if memory serves right - 7 year (+/- 1 year) old thread. I took the chance and PM'd the guy. Turns out the guy is Todd Chamberlain and he still had some of the slides left after all these years. These are LFL reference slides, so nothing really special, but they were very cheap.

Proud to have acquired the next 3.

7251355276_f62424b464_b.jpg

This was used for the Jedi Luke cardback (obviously :)).

7251357036_cc93947771_b.jpg

This one looks very damaged and the auto focus failed on this one. I know that there are some ways of repairing those slides, but I don't know how good it will work out. For now I will leave it as is, but will check for options later this year. Love that CAP-2 slide...

Photography-wise the next 2 are my new center pieces.

7251350990_560b3bb642_b.jpg

This is similar to the picture they used on the production box, but it slightly different. That's why I like it. :)

7251344774_7471074a04_b.jpg

8"x10" negative of the Imperial Shuttle. Sorry for the bad photo. I am in conversation with the original Kenner photographer (Kim Simmons) and he had some background information regarding this shot. This is what he calls a first shot. The angle of the shot is very similar, if not exact the same to the photo they used for the production box. But the ERGs/Stormtroopers have not been well aligned as seen on the production box. I scanned the pic using my 10 year old scanner and colour corrected it. You can see every detail, but all in all the result is not satisfactory at all, sadly. I was talking about this with Kim too and he says that there are several problems with my scan, the scanner itself (he uses very expensive equipment to get the best out of this), my colour correction skills () and either the photo is very dirty or it is damage due to its age.

Sorry for a lot of pics and a lot of text, but I hope you enjoy and I tried to share some background information about the photo art, so maybe you learned something new, if this of interest to you at all.

More slides to join my collection during the next 2-3 months, stay tuned.

Thanks for looking.
