Well, it seems as if I have scored a rare item there without knowing it ... here is what Stephane says about the PDT-8 in his book "From Meccano to Trilogo":

"PDT-8 is really interesting: it is made from a Canadian Kenner box with a Canadian-Art French ROTJ logo on the front and the Kenner logo as been preserved. A white Meccano area is printed at the bottom of the box. This one is particularly hard to find."

Hate to burst your bubble Dennis, but it's actually pretty common. Looks very nice though.

I'm guessing the PBP was only present with the ones that were sold in Spain by the way.

It looks ace in the pics yeah, but the card has some flaws not showing up in the pics.
Yeah, he told me he was sad because I didn't have a starcase that fit him,
but luckily the boba fett came with a starcase that fits the made in taiwan cards, so he's pretty happy now

But it has this white Meccano area printed on the box like Stephane writes and when googling for it I found a couple of (German) threads discussing its rarity.

I don't know much about Meccano though, so I don't know... Any other information about this is appreciated.

Yep that's correct, the PBP catalogue will only have been included with Spanish releases (much like the Rebo band with inserts which is a GMJ release)

Coincidently (not sure if this helps or hinders the discussion or not) but there is a ROTJ release of the PDT-8 with "GMJ SA" written on the box - obviously exclusively Spanish.

Lee, awesome mailers! If that Bossk is the one that was on ebay, I was tempted to have a go at it myself as I'd like to upgrade the box on mine. I opted out though when I saw how high it was going. It's an excellent looking example. Glad to see it went to a SWFUKer.

Soren, that's a great local find. I love seeing the Action Force logo on items that I know as G.I. Joe.

Dennis, Wow, Christmas came early for you. The Intercepter has always been my favorite Tie Fighter and I love that bilogo box. Your A-Wing also looks to be an excellent example.

Jorn, excellent haul! I of course love the Luke Jedi. You also can't go wrong with Boba Fett.


Timbo, nice rifle case. That's one case that I haven't picked up yet. That case certainly has a lot more play value than the Bandolier strap. lol
