Hello!

Remember me?

Ok. So the majority of those items have now vanished in a puff of colossal financial loss. (But never mind).
And have converted into this, which I think you'll be much more interested in.

Which is also probably quite overpriced but something I really love and am glad to own. R2D2 was the very first figure my mum bought me as a 4 year old.

I cried.

My brothers had Stormtroopers and I only had a R2. Sadly that original 12 back card was long since lost and the original R2 had most of the sticker loved off, but the link remains strong. So although this is not a fully classic 12 back, it is still a very good vintage figure, 21 back as you can see and predating the sensor scope version. (Which I also had as a child, to far less waterworks.)

I saved a few of the new figs back, the long lightsabre ones will get sold on Ebay to significantly less hassle that trying to shift all of them. I also kept the Boba Fett and Bossk because they are really nice figures, and the Dewback because it's a really nice model. As for the Episode 1 figs, I only kept the Mace Windu, because it remains a nice item, and was a gift from a friend.

Very nice- 21 back R2, is that a tough one to find (Like Stromtrooper and Jawa?)

Nice pick up 8)

Cheers!
I don't know enough about the collectors market to know if it is a hard one to find, but checking eBay, the only other one exactly like this I can find (and there is only one) is going for $599.

Which even after exchange rate is WAY more than I payed. It's a lovely condition, really chuffed to have got it.

Hey Steve, judging by the fold in the card that might be a Stormtrooper that came with the POTF Ewok Combat playpack.

Yeah I think your right emiel nice to have a bit of back ground on it.
Still I don't think it's the original stormie as he would be hard bodied right??

But a beater tri logo with weapon and fig for .99p can't go wrong really

I'm not a variant savant (tm), but you might be right. You could add the right figure from your vault though, right?

It's a cool piece.

Nice one Imperial what a bargain.

Here's my latest always dreamed of owning an AT-AT as a kid, it's not the best example with some heavy yellowing to the legs ( Looking for some replacements ) missing stickers but has it's chin guns and as shown in another thread I got the electrics working, love it all the same. Local sale for $76 so no postage cost was the clincher.

Had to rearrange to display case to fit the bugger in :D

Been waiting for this to arrive, i'm really pleased i finally have one :D
I bought it from Adam off RS it is the one that is featured on the Star Wars Collector Achive Database :)

The mighty red and blue. Very cool. Congrats on finding one of your grails. 8)

Nice AT-AT too Ryan. My favourite vehicle. Like the setup!

Cheers Guys, its great! Though there is what looks like deterioration to the plastic around the edges of the bubble where its stuck to the card.....Is this common on 12 backs? :?

I've spoken to Adam about the edges and he's reassured me that this happens as a factory/ manufacturing "flaw" , or basically the net result of when the bubble was applied at the factory back in the day. When the bubble is applied to the cardboard backing, the pressure/heat from it being mated to the cardback can result in that (edges of the plastic bubble fraying/flaking).

Cheers mate
Burnsy has a couple of graded ones for sale for £425 each (R2-D2 and Stormtrooper), my Vader cost me a fair bit more than that and the rarer ones go for around £1000 i think.
