Hey wookie- nice figures, when you say restore them do you mean repaint them? I would strongly advise not doing so! I have only got one figure from my childhood it's at the centre on my collection and it's a complete beater!
Most collectors would kill to have a childhood figure, it's not the same if it's been painted
It's your so you can do what you want but you may regret painting or "restoring" them

You know what, after some consideration I've decided not to mess around with my original childhood figures (except perhaps a couple of really yellow stormies.)

I've been quietly reading through a lot of the threads on here and there's some real horror stories out there, such as unscrupulous eBay sellers, repros passed off as originals, unmentioned reseals and the scandal of "U" grades - something that is totally beyond my comprehension.

A lot of my figures are total beaters - they were heavily played with around the globe! So I guess I'll be looking to replace the more battered ones rather than 'restoring' them after all.

Now who out there has a nice minty Bespin Luke (dark hair) that they want to part with? Weapons not necessary - I still have mine.

That is lovely - the POTF Luke Stormie is my favorite carded figure ever - shame I wanted to play with mine as a kid!!

This turned up this morning and has been added to 'The Den' straight away Just need a new 2010 Vader and Gunner for it...Had to remove the legs as the shelf is high enough without them.

Also for shits and giggles, my 'Raytrooper' mounted on a repro Palitoy card. This one freaks the wife out :lol:

Got this the other day form the Evil Bay £19. Super clean white speeder, good box with inserts, all working, missing the harpoon but I can live with that for a while.

Indeed ed, that one was a really nice one and if it wasn't for that tiny crack I would have kept it for sure. Glad it went to a good home though dude!

Yeah I still rate it in my top five vintage items- when I get settled I will be doing some photographs of my top five- luckily it's a difficult decision as I have managed to add some great items this year.
I suppose I am glad it has a tiny crack- because if it didn't it wouldn't be sat in my collection! I adore my Luke stormy :mrgreen:
