Nice buys guys

Ham -will you be able to stop?

And what's swarf?? Something to do with paint ?

Swarf is "extra" plastic- A bit like on Airfix kits when you break them from the spure it leaves a bit behind. I will try and get some photos up!

It has been a long time since I posted any items in here so imagine my joy when I got two on the same day :D (still got one in transit too 8) )

Got this one off the bay for £17 which I thought was a bit of a steal - 65b back

My first ever 12 back :D Got him at memorabilia last November and wanted to get him graded when I could afford it. Well chuffed :D

This is the new UKG grade sticker which I think looks superb and much clearer than their old version

Nice one they're Fantastic 8) I didn't know that Memorabilia was on in November....I was gutted as i couldn't make it last month. So i'll be looking forward to going this November, it's only a few days after my birthday as well :D

Just seen the UKG label....I was told they had changed the label from the blue colour. I think it looks better like that....I don't know why but i didn't like the blue

Cheers Chewie. I've really only ever gone to the November Memorabilia - been to the March one a few times but never gone to the summer one.

I love going to the November one as it gives me the opportunity to get all of the presents from the family

Great pick-ups Nick, congrats! The 12bks are really cool and your DSC looks great. :D

Have to agree that KG have stepped up. Good luck to them!

Like Nick I've not been around much recently and not posted on this thread for a while.

So on the back of Nick's very nice MOC's I was well chuffed to add 2 ESB Palitoy 30 backs today

Although one of the easier 30 bks to come across still well happy with this c9 Lando

Next up a Bespin Luke, shame about the yellow bubble, especially as the cardback is light coloured and doesn't hide it to well. But hey-ho as I always tell myself beggars can't be choosers when it comes to Palitoy.

If anyone is interested I'm gonna update my pics on vintage showcase as I've had a bit of a change in focus since I last updated it a year or so ago.

The Palitoy Lando is absoloutely fabulous, nice pick up there Lee. I have to admit I do like the new UKG stickers as well, i may be temted to send some loose in now. Has their turn around time and customer service improved any as their reputation was a bit flakey at one point.

Yeah Rich it has improved massively. Sent him off, got him graded and back again within 2 weeks with constant emails keeping me updated. I know the guys are members on here and I know the last time I used them I think they were a man down and although they were slow they still did a great job!

always happy with UKG :D

Thats good to know mate as i have been toying with the idea of getting some of my loose POTF graded. :)

Yeah Nick, have to say that UKG are doing ok these days/ We've gotta get the word out, bring grading home! :D

Too true Ham! Would sort of like a bit of a discount for all the good press (deserved imo) i'm giving them

Got a lot more i'd love to get graded

Some nice new additions lads, I like th eLando Lee, and I wouldn't really call any 30 back easy to find :)

cheers fellas! yous are gonna think im mad but im thinking of freeing him ive never had a afa i will say this they dont half clang about a bit in them boxes it just dosent sound to healthy but it dose look great on display im in to minds weather to free him or send my vc jawa to ukg when ive got a nicer figure for him that is 8)

I do have a chuckle when I hear people say graded loose are protected forever- when " they dont half clang about a bit in them boxes" I'd still leave it encased - there is no rush to break him out.

Personally I'd set him free as there's nothing like the feel of the genuine article as appose to the acrylic plastic surrounding them, speaking about loose figures tho have been recently doing the same with MOC's and kinda going off the idea of sealed casings. Just like to feel the history if that makes sense. ;)

I know what you mean ham im a loose collector! something about those shiny boots wants me to break him out! i think i will open it up eventually for now though just happy i have a nice one.
