Latest Acquisitions

I'll second the above! That is superb sticker removing! How did you do it? The father in law uses furniture polish! Is that advisable?!

That's the one. Furniture polish and a regular yellow duster. Slowly and gently rub away. The paper residue will shift first leaving the gum. It's just a matter of patience. Lighter fluid also helps on the gum. Lighter fluid will soak into the card though (it does evaporate) so be carefull when rubbing not to lift the litho (I caught it in a couple of minor spots). The trick is to take your time and not let the card get too wet, and know when enough is enough. There is a stubborn bit just visible that I gave up on rather than risk damaging it.

It is a bit tired around the edges and has a bit of light wear on the back, but otherwise it was all as described. The crack in the top of the bubble isn't too bad - the figure could not be removed. The card is about 2mm shorter than others I have but it's all perfectly legit. I think the £75 offer I made was a fair price.

Some great pieces there guys.

Here's my latest piece and I can't even begin to describe the difficulty of acquiring a piece like this!! So I'm very happy to have finally landed one. 8)

Lee. Not that i don't wish all the success I had, but it may be best to try on a beater first. Get used to how much pressure to apply and so on. That's how I did it, and even now I still feel like it's a major gamble whether all goes according to plan. Good luck.

i cant really beat the stuff up here for mintyness, and the fett?? even i know thats a tricky one to get and amazing in that condition,,(could be a Tigerham special, seen them around lately      )
ok i have been busy and still looking at loose and ships, and nothing but imperial of course.
And before i go any further, yes i have some modern, but i intend of having them as interim peices to be replaced later .
