Those are some nice cards Lee.

You may find as well that as you pick more cards up you actually complete some Character runs.

It always nice to see how the cards evolve through the different variations. 8)

It is a shame Palitoy dropped their logo from the front.

But I have got so used to seeing them completely logo-less that I wouldn't want to see the logo on there now.

I agree Gary,it would look strange if the Pali logo was on the ROTJ cards.

However if all the Pali cards (inc.ROTJ)carried the logo would it make the cards (Star Wars/ESB)with the logo less desirable?

As some collector's surely collect or prefer the cards with the logo to the front.

I bet it would make 'em abit cheaper, which would be nice :)

Lee - Those are some nice MOCs. Tha Jawa looks very good.

Tank - Id buy a graded example as well considering the amount of repo sabers that are out there.

Grant. 8)

Lee: Nice Palitoy Jawa.. The card looks pretty sweet..

Christian: I love the first shots. PM coming your way.. :D

Loving that FS christian. Great addition mate.

And loving those ROTJ Palis.

I have an item that has just got through customs - with charges - BASTARDS.

Should have it in a few days and will post pics.

Steve

Cheers Grant,Sith Jawa

Yeah the Jawa card is cool and I'm sure Christian would have had it graded as it would be an 85/90 but the small crack in the base of the bubble would spoil the grade.

Still,as the crack is on the base you can't see it whilst it's on display. :)

Steve I'm in exactly the same boat mate,I've been waiting for 3 weeks for a package from the states and this morning a customs charge letter from Parcel Force for £95 TWATS.Mind you at least I've got the knowledge it's here and not lost en-route.

Ouch. That is a lrge customs fee. I know my item was declared at a lower value just in case but your right as long as i know it has arrived safely in the UK.

Dont know how much it is yet shoudl get the bloody letter on Monday unless royal mail are on strike again.

Don't hold your breath Steve,I've just waited 5 days for a 1st class recorded parcel.Have they been on strike this week? :D

Some nice Palitoys there Lee. They all look like a great lot.

Today I got my upgraded Young Jedi envelope and paperwork. This is another mailed kit, but the redemption form hadn't been torn off and used like my last one. This one also had the envelope to mail in the form which I was missing before, so now my paperwork for the set is complete. I think the only way I will get the box is to buy a whole other kit, so I probably won't worry about it.

Nice Shawn! Glad it turned up safe, looks in great condition :)

You know the first time I saw one of these was your display thread over on RS  up until then I had not heard of the young jedi mailer letter/offer

This is the first time I have seen one too! lmao ...very cool, I love mailers.

Thanks guys.

@Lee I agree Lee especially with something like this. You would think that if the person that received this never redeemed it, that they would have just tossed it out. Or even stuck it in a drawer where it would get beat up and damaged.

@Joe Glad my mailaway thread helped you gain a little collecting knowledge. :) I think I mentioned it in the top 5 thread, but I have vague memories of actually getting one of these as a kid. I would have been around 6-7 at the time. The main memory I have is my older brother helping me with deciding on which figure to get and placing the sticker on the mailaway form. I wish I could remember the initial figure I received and the followup figure. Knowing me though it would have been a tie between Vader or Luke. It could be possible that my Childhood Luke Jedi figure I still own came from the promotion, but unfortunately cannot say for sure.

For anyone else not familiar with this, here is the writeup on the archive The one shown there is the sample kits which are more common to find than the ones actually mailed. They included the Logray that has had some debate recently on RS.

While I'm dishing out information here is something else of importance I found for anyone interested.

The archive article states "While some children did receive the envelope portion of the package, I have not run into anyone who actually received a free figure through this promotion."

When I picked up some paperwork from my previous kit I also got this letter, coupon, and a folded R2 cardback with the pop blacked out and the date 8/24/84 written on it.

Here is the letter and coupon. This is proof that the additional free figure was sent out as well.

Some really big buys lately guys, im really impressed.

Just to add to them i thought i'd add this beauty, taking pics has been a nightmare lol.
This came today, this is something i've always dreamed of owning, especially as i've owned the inner since about 99/2000. I honestly never thought i'd complete him, and contemplated selling the inner section many times.

Yes mate i was, when i realised it was 100% legit my hands were actually shaking lol.
I will probably get it graded at some point just to protect it a little better.

I actually thought i had broken it earlier trying to get it back into vaders arm  i will not be removing it again in a hurry

Edited for spelling, beer and typing do not mix!!

Cheers Martijn

Lovin the bootlegs too mate.
I bet the hunt for those ugly buggers is not an easy one lol.

I'm actually starting to really like them the more you post, so please STOP posting pics because my wallet cannot take another focus lol

I'm sure your heart must have stood still for a moment there.

Will you be looking out for a DT Ben now, or do you already have one?

Don't own a Ben Emiel,
I'm honestly not sure if i ever will.
saying that i never ever expected to own a vader so who knows.

I refuse to pay the prices tho. All in all my DT vader has cost me about £120  so no way am i going to spend 10 times that on a ben.

On the other hand, if you get a nice grade for the Vader you can buy a loose Ben and Vader from the proceeds.

Martijn, nice bootlegs!

Thats not a bad idea  .
I may just get Steve at UKG to knock me a case up for him as i really don't want to ship this overseas.
I know AFA graded he would be worth more, but i got him cheap and i don't see me ever selling him.
I think he'd look cool cased with his saber fully extended (in his arm)
