My first restoration project, not a bad pick-up for $19.99 + shipping...

Star Wars - Boba Fett 21B back

Damaged during transit to the previous owner, and although the bubble has a small ding in the top it was a very clean break from the card and lines up prefectly. Ideal for re-attaching. It came complete with original footer, taped on blaster and minty mint uncirculated figure (these do smell odd when new!!)

The gun however surprised me, here's a close up showing a "raised bar" on the side! I've also been informed that other collectors have made similar discoveries and i'm not sure if you've noticed but there are always "euro/pbp" blasters for sale on ebay.com

Maybe we should erase the idea that "raised bar" balsters are "pbp/euro" releases as evidence seems to prove otherwise....

Walkie - nice resto project man 8)

Take your time with it and you'll get a decent result. Not to teach anyone to suck eggs, but don't use sellotape to fix the card section back on. Sellotape and card does not age well

Walkie.....that fett pick up is awesome mate. 8)

Personally for me this type of pick up ( especially a Fett) is great on so many levels

Budget buy ( the thrill of the pick up)
Awesome figure
Restoring to former glory as opposed to u grading a figure
The challenge and hands on involvement in restoration
Highlighting something new ( raised bar on blaster)
The smell of the new figure

Then stand back and admire your work. " I did that" 8)

To me this is what collecting is all about, doing your own thing

I hope I am as lucky in the future one day to pick something up like this :D

Sorry for the ramble on folks...but I think this type of buy and commit to restore deserves recognition in the hobby

Well done mate...can't wait to see it finished :D

Tuesday I met my friend søren, we had a good long talk about our childhood star wars stuff, vintage star wwars stuff and the forum :D I also bought this lot from søren. Most of it is from his childhood collection. Big thanks to søren for letting me buy some of his childhood collection :D

Most of the cardbacks have still a part or all of the bubble on the card. Some has only been cut open so søren could take the figure out and play with it many years ago :D

The Hammerhead cardback is made in Spain :D

Both Snaggletooth cardbacks are Hybrids :D

One of the Han Solo trench coat figures have a blue nose and some red in the face. Søren told me it was like that in the 80s when he bought it on a moc. So it looks like there have been some parts of wrong plastic in the correct plastic for the head. Have any of you seen this before ?

Also Big Thanks to søren again for helping me with getting some more cardbacks with danish stickers on them, even the box has parts of a danish sticker on it.

Wow Wrighty just wow!
Walkie can't wait to see how he turns out when he's done, brilliant pick up :)
Pomse2001 what a great haul!

Picked this up today, believe its a ESB-C taped baggie, but I could be wrong?

Hi Mate, thanks for the great words :D I wish you good luck with finding such a moc with sticker on. I have collected danish stickers on boxes, moc and cardbacks for 13 years and so far I have only 2 moc with this Chokpris sticker on. Wish there was so many of them so I could help you mate

If you like danish stickers and danish star wars stuff then me and søren work on this thread http://www.starwarsforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=10847

Thanks, Chris. 8)

Thanks Timbo. Unfortunately they never released one of these sets with a B-Wing pilot in dude. They did plan to release 2 ROTJ sets but they never made it to production. All sets are from the SW or ESB era. You will find the B-Wing pilot in Italian and German multipacks as well as the Irish 3 packs.

Chris.
