Truly amazing. I love the way you're even diligently detailing the interior too! This will look amazing when it's finished. OOI what material are you using to build it out of?

Mainly styrene boards. A hard route to go but it pays off, IMo, because you have less weight and the plastic surface makes it feel and look like a toy/model.

In some areas I use wood, and I use cardboard if I need thicker walls (coated from both sides with styrene)

Wolff you are without doubt the best customiser I have ever seen work from, there are some that are great at what they do but most take FOREVER to finish projects like this and you seem to blitz anything you take on and finish it with exceptional results in mere weeks. The progress you make on stuff like this is amazing - I have no idea where you find the time!

Amazing and this will be a super work of art!

Magnificent Wolff, looks absolutely class. A metre long? Yowza, gonna be a great display piece, sure I'm not alone in the desire to have one similar for myself. Looking forward to seeing more of your top efforts Wolff, good arrows!

Thank you very much. Such great feedback pushes me to my limits! :D

I will only be one day at CEII, though I guess I will not have the time to present my stuff :(

Thank you Joe! But believe me...it wont go that fast forever. When I start such huge project I fill my freezer with pizzas and my cellar with beer.  I had two weeks off so I worked all day (12 hours a day at minimum) on this....no distratctions....it was planned for longer, so I could choose the timeframe thoughtful (wife wasnt also here for a week). From now on I will have to slow down...some weekend hours..not more :(. But it is always a good start to push all you energy in it to see it can be finished one day..  ...and of course the great feedback here pushes me every day!

Update: Making the hull of the rear.

http://swspaceclub.com/wbobafett/my-collection/customs/khetanna/#rear

Building the rear will be by farest the most difficult part of the hull. With Jabba's throne room inside and the demand for it beeing demountable afterwards makes this very complicated. It is also round and will have many break throughs for the windows....though
I first build a rough construction for the different levels which will be removed afterwards. I then glued some cardboard in to give this some stability. It was then coated with a styrene board. The whole hull from the rear is (like on the nose) made out of one board, which makes it perfect round...no gaps, no crossing. But after paneling and making the windows this will be cut horizontal. Afterwards there will be four parts which can be demounted any time. The front, the middle part (hull), Jabba's throne room (which is half in the middle part and half in the rear) and the lower part of the rear hull. Difficult to explain, but I guess you will recognize it when its done.

Really coming together now. I'm waiting for the canopy to go on. Love to see how you do that.

Does Jabba go in ok?

Thanks again for the amazing feedback guys.

The rear is more complicated then I would have thought! I have massive problems in some areas and I am not able to go on till I have solutions for them all. For now I am trying to define the finale shape on top and on the deck.
Changing the messurements now results in a problem of space with the canon, the hatch, the grills (light for the throne room) and the mast
:?

I am also working at the engines at the moment and I have decided to get LED light into this which also needs some extra planing time ... 8)

I will keep you updated as soon as there is sth to see of importance!

I also went out of glue and colors  .......need to wait for my ama*** package now

Any way to scale up production? You wouldn't have trouble finding buyers :p

Last one sold on ebay for 3,5k if I remember correctly. And I guess making more and selling them would be easily at that range...not sure if I find so much buyers then

Jupp...I guess so....depends on the hight of the throne and how massive the ceiling is becoming ;)

I will use the force to get him in

Thanks guys...much appreciated :D. Jabba will fit in...no worries! ;)

UPDATE:

Some various pictures from the process.

The rear was cut into two parts.
The door was cut
The boarders were covered with Styrene (not finished yet) and the final shape of the rear was made
I started making the engines now waiting for the lights.
The ceiling was planned as well as the problematic (problem with the space) part with: Hatch, cannon, mast and the middle hatch.
Some parts were made (not finished yet): walls for the bridge, a pillar, the round part for the rear and the middle hatch.
