It might be a daft question but is this something you've been doing a long time, i mean do you use these skills professionally in some way?

I am not that bad with my hands. But I never build a ship before from the srcatch...though....its always sth new. I had to think hard od some solutions and there is lots of stuff I still need to solve... a real challenge for myself.

Just another one - what glue do you use on these? Been using PVA for resealing as it doesn't damage the cards and dries invisible. It's not strong though which is probably better for my purposes.

Depends.... I use:

- Plastic glue (plastic on plastic)
- Hot glue (if it has to fast and you cant see very much). Hot glue isnt that accurate but it does the job in difficult areas.
- PVA (wood on wood, plastic on wood, plastic on styrofoam....)
- superglue (for small parts which you cant hold in postion for a longer time)

So you see...it always depends on the material, if it can be fixed with clamps, if you have the time...

It is always good to roughen up the surfaces you want to glue....we dont want anything to break apart again

Dont get me wrong....I love GOT....it is the best series out there (besides boardwalk empire and misfits season 1+2 and maybe breaking bad)

All details to the front are done now. I have to smooth again some places and I also need to putty little stuff again, but overall it looks good so far IMO.
