G'day, I have a Jawa with plastic cape from Empire Strikes Back, Australian release, got it as a kid when I was 10 back in 1980, so I know its for real. Still have the backing card but is cut up. Does anybody know where I can get is graded and authenticated and priced in Australia. Have a movie poster of Empire also from 1980. Cheers

No grading service in AU, you Will have to send it to the US to AFA (toygrader to have it graded and verified). Also i can verify it aswell if you like and probably some others aswell if you put up detailed pictures (or you can send it to me for

Worth doing with a piece like that. Does your Jawa have any bluish green spots on the cape?

The cape is a little redder than on the standard VCJ right?G'day, I just unpacked the Jawa from storage and yes does have bluish green on the legs. I have a Ben K from about 1980 Aussie issue cape is criss cross style, my Jawa is totally smooth but very simular colour to Ben. I took few pics will post them soon. Interesting things is that on the back of the card the Jawa has a cloth cape, but my Jawa had plastic, I would guess they used a USA pic for the back.
It's the cape that makes the figure toltoys, i have a dozen "correct" figures with spots that never set foot on Australian soil. The cape should be just as red as Ben Kenobi's however there should be a crosshatch pattern on one of the sides just like Ben's cape. Sending some pics to stargeezer is a good way of verifying if it's worth the trouble of sending it off for grading. UKG offers a service where they grade the figure and seal it in an acrylic case with the cardback, don't know how rough your card is but with only a handfull of sealed examples left it would be nice if the figure could stay with it's cardback

Hi you can email the pictures if you like aswell.
Also the blaster is Unique to an Toltoys VC Jawa so take some pictures of this aswell (place it On a flashlight and turn it On, so you can see the blaster translucent color).
Also best to leave the cape On to prevent damaging the armpit holes, but take many close pictures from the cape (front and Back) and i can tell you straight away if its good and worth sending to AFA or UKG.
