Chris is just in the process of getting his sales thread authorised - I have purchased a few of his figures and found him great to deal with - hopefully we can give him a good welcome over here

I second that. Any of the members from that forum that have had it with their ***** are welcome here. We are not as bad as they make us out to be.

This tribalism is scary.....

Look all i'm trying to say is that I have seen Lord of the Flies and I don't want any one to die.

Inflatable sabres only.

I know how you really feel.

IMHO it's a life thing, I'm only comfortable where I can be myself, I steer from pretentious, self righteous bigotry, can't see the point of it.

It seems to me that like all things in life you pays your money and takes your choice.
I'd rather be on a forum where all opinions and points of view are freely made, and freely trashed or valued.
There is a fantastic comradery and I know it sounds cheesy "family" feel on here, that's why I love it. Some great guys on here, and we all have an input, noobs like myself can learn from the masters, and not be afraid to ask silly questions ( well, most of the time)
I've learned a lot on my time here, and know there is a lot more to learn.

Seems the few spoil for the many on RS, shame, but I'm happy here and not arsed about other forums.

Sorry for going on :?

BTW Todd, very nice and concise post that, and sums up RS for a non member like me. Hope your not really a big softy after all

New member here and I will proclaim I am most certainly a ****

This **** is hilarious. It's absolutely ok to dislike other collectors. Hell I hate most of the people I've met in life in general. I do post on RS but mostly generic comments. I think there's a lot of boring threads on RS because most of the good topics have been discussed more than once so whenever someone comes along and asks what could be an interesting and legit question they are immediately shouted down and told to do research (which is fine because i understand that alot of long time collectors have already gone over the same **** many times but it leads to tons of bland threads about **** like "what's your favorite......"). I don't hate RS I've met a bunch of good people on there and have learned a lot but it definitely has its flaws. You can't say **** is a major flaw and not letting people hash out their differences as well. Where I come from motherfuckers yell at each other and either come to an agreement or not.

Welcome, Chris- glad to see you made it over here :D
Why not test the water and enquire about other Star Wars forums  I'm not joking!
Relax and enjoy, I'm sure you'll find this place entertaining

Ha ha - that is quite an entrance - maybe you should repost it in the introduce yourself thread

a forum should be exactly what this is, a place to have a laugh and enjoy the hobby, on the topic of disliking other collectors, i certainly dont like the way some people post, but its hard to tell someone's tone of voice or sarcasm in text lol

Welcome to the new guys. It's fun here. And you can ask pretty much whatever you want. Except maybe "hey, does anyone know how i can ugrade my carded VC Jawa?" You might get told to go **** yourself if you start a thread asking that.
Funnily, that would be absolutely fine on RS.

some great posts above and welcome to the new guys.

Altough i like RS for the knowledge you can find in his history, i love this forum for beeing more open minded. You can say what you think without having someone coming in and slap your hands, then close the thread down...

I understand there needs to be some moderating when things go out off control, but come on, don't exaggerate.

It is ok to ask any question even if it is the guzzionlth time it has been asked. To suggest "Hey do some research!" IMO is being a total ******* and in addition, it defeats the purpose of an open forum. I could google everything for sure, but it is nice to have a little human back and forth. Some of those individuals act like they do not have time for it...if so....why bother even being on a forum.

Amen to that. The 'Google is your friend' brigade drive me nuts.

Sometimes I think it is a cover because they do not know the answer and do not want their buddies to know they are not the epicenter of all things vintage.

I was just gonna say before Grant posted that- yes they ******* would. They don't give a ****. Never have never will. They would ugrade the only one of something in existence.

You see.

The outrage isn't sparked by ugraded ROTJ GG. That would just really piss me off.

The outrage comes from destroying unique antique pop culture for a ******* gimmick.

Pigs will get what pigs deserve.

i don't imagine they would get even close to the amount if they had just left them carded rather than ugraded.

What the ****! Is that thing really a U graded DT Vader and DT Ben? I cant see any AFA stickers please someone tell me its a mock up!
