I ave been a united fan all my life and I have never seen such a pathetic performance!

Still confident we can win the league tho!
Look at who we have played and who they have played!

Discuss guys!

Yeah amazing. Incredible enough in that it was Man U's first home defeat in 38. The sending off didn't help but Man U were awful before that.

sorry but hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

I know its not funny but....... hahahahahahahahahahahaha

Hey I'm an Ipswich fan and after what you did to us (9-1) then I can't say I am sad to see you on the other end !

I know Pete! Its the fact its at Old Trafford, the fact we have been imperious at home of late and to lose by such a margin. Just think of the odds at the bookies!

On a another note, for me that is the last straw for me on Evans! It is about time he moved on. He is wank!

Who do you support by the way?

Itfcain - Look mate, make the most of making fun of us today because you dont get much chance! :p Mark my words guys you will see bounce back!

I was very surprised Fergie played Evans ahead of Jones. That spelt trouble for me right from the off. He is a sub-standard defender.

Completely in agreement with you Pete!

A few other areas were, IMO we lost the game -
Delievery into the box was very poor
Didnt force the goalkeeper into another saves
Overrun in midfield (Anderson and Fletcher weak- Great finish 4 the goal tho! :)

Thats enough of my rant I dont want to turn into a football forum!

Sorry, I'm just out of hospital after laughing myself senseless yesterday afternoon!

I had the pleasure of watching the game with a United fan, and as a self confessed ABU, I loved it!
As a football fan though, I was really disappointed in United. The first 25 mins or so they were like Arsenal. All the possession, lovely passing, but creating the sum total of FA squared. Then caught on the break and 1-0 against the run of play. Rest of the first half was prob just shaded by City. I think at HT City had 4 shots on target to United's none (or that could have been just shots in general, I honestly can't remember). So Fergy's desperate attempt to deflect blame by saying Evans sending off cost them the game is gubbins. City started the second half the better side and looked more likely to score.
Saying that at no point in the game did United get going. They were very very flat. They just didn't seem to have any spark, and when Evans was sent off (prefeclty fair red card IMO) United just folded like a deck of cards. You could see they were there for the taking. That's all very Un-United! Normally they plow on regardless and look, if anything, more dangerous with 10 men. But yesterday they looked like they were just going through the motions.
I also think Anderson was lucky not to give away a penalty. He didn't get the ball and definitely impeded whoever the City forward was. But, It would be a brave ref who gives a penalty (and possibly another red card) against United at OT, 5 mins after sending off Evans!

I was surprised to see Evans start, but I guess Vidic is still feeling his way back and maybe Fergy wanted to try and rest Jones. Although by doing that he cost me ruddy points in FFL as Jonesy came on, shipped 3 and scored a total of -1pt.....wanker! Evans as a player hasn't improved at all in the last 4 or 5 years. If anything he has regressed. I think a move away from OT would probably do him some good. What odds on Steve Bruce buying this summer? He buys every other Fergy cast off!

Much as I'd love to gloat and say it was a turning point and City are now the dominant force. I've seen Unted get beaten like that before (Newcastle in the mid 90's and that hoking at The Dell by Saints). They will still be there or there abouts come May time. But, that is one almighty boot in the knackers for them, and a huge boost for City!

Fair assessement of the game there mate! Andersons challenge was a penalty and I do hope they get rid of evans sooner rather than later! 4

Chelseas poor showing did cheer me up somewhat but QPR didnt score enough! :x

Chelsea were dire in that first half!
I don't know what happened to them, but they barely looked Championship standard, ohhh and I'm gonna stick my neck out and say David Luis will probably be "rested" this Saturday!

That guy is an absolute ****ing berk. Unbelievable. But then it's the managers fault. Everyone with a brain can see what a liability he is. He should be nowhere near that defence at any point let alone be first choice centre-back!!

He actually reminds me of Roberto Carlos. He's brilliant going forward and has an eye for goal (Ok Carlos spent the last 10 years of his career trying to recreate THAT goal, but still) but neither of them want to defend. That's all fine and good, but if you're a defender surely your main role is to ehhh..............defend!? :?

Sunday certainly made me smile

Sad thing is, with that team and their cash I can see City dominating for a long time. Good to see Nasri was only a sub too

United have dominated for nearly 20 years now, Liverpool had their spell in the 70's-80's so we are due a changing of the guard. Besides, I'm ****ing sick of listening to smug glory hunting United fans! The normal down to earth United fans I can take, but it's the ones who you know fine rightly will be wearing City shirts in 3 years that anoy me.

I agree with you Weaz. I have supported United since aged 5 and been to over 20 matches and will support my club through the good and the bad. There was a least 5 kids that I knew at my school that just supported whoever won the Prem (normally Chelsea or United! But they didnt even know anything about the clubs

but Liverpool and Utd's dominance was based on good management and building teams through success. City's is just pure cash (although they've not won the league yet and they're not looking great in Europe).

I was glad to see Chelsea drop away, which does show that money only gets you so far

Exactly the same with Blackburn too

True, (RE Blackburn and Chelsea) but City have as close to a bottomless pit of money as you can get, and assumig their owners maintain an interest (that's a big assumption, but they are businessmen and won't just walk away and leave city to collapse, much as we'd all love to see it) I can't see any reason why they won't be challeneging for the next few years. Anything beyond about five years from now is all but impossible to predict, cos anything could happen, but I don't see City as a flash in the pan.

I also don't see United disappearing either, they are far too well run as a company rather than a club and with the money and worldwide following (ie ****ing glory hunters) they have they'll be there or there abouts. But not even United/Chelsea/Barca or Real can outbid City for players and while that continues to be the case City will be a force.
