How long has every 1 been collecting for

About 3 years for me.
Like Gary I still had most of my stuff (and my brothers) from childhood.
I actually bought some Star wars stuff in the early 90's but then lost the bug, it was prob late 2005 to early 2006 before I got back into it.

Had some loose figures for years but properly recollected last 6 months, have just completed my full, good condition, uncarded set (not last 17) along with max rebo band, wampa, and other creatures and now thinking about either going for a few varients or last 17.

Have decided not to collect carded figures or vehicles because of money (child may end up going without food!).

Saying that, it's still early days.....

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not another variant collector!

bought my first two vintage figures again in 94 or 95 i think, they were Boba Fett and Chewie, both about Ã'£4 each

Not another variant collector!

Varients as in a cloth cape Jawa and a vinyl one, solid/scope/sabre/3rd leg R2D2s and big/small head Hans, not 55 different Yodas' !!!!

:p I've been collecting Star Wars things in general since 1980 when I first saw TESB at the cinema - and haven't ever stopped. It hasn't been just action figures either, as I like all kinds of stuff from cards to stationery to posters and newspaper cuttings.

James.

Other than when i was a kid, i started collecting around the age of 13, so around 13 years. Used to love fleecing kids at school for their stuff. Got a yak for 50p and swapped a battered at at for a luke storm, lando gen, han card and r2 pop.

Sold my loose collection a few years back to start my carded collection.

Started collecting seriously about 3 years ago,and have spent a bloody fortune in that time.
I remeber as teen seeling all my stuff I had as a lad for Ã'£20,what a dickhead I wished I'd kept it all. :x :x
Since I've started collecting I've bought mainly AFA graded items and have a full run of 12 backs and nearly done all the 12's on a 20 back, along with a load of graded ESB figures and playsets. :D :D

I was still at school so 94-95, had my first Blue-snaggletooth round about 97 which was before my days of internet, I thought it was a really rare figure back then....funny how things have changed.

The question is, how long can you see yourself going on for?

Been collecting 3 years now.

I guess it will get duller when all the bubbles fall off the MOC's.

In '95 i started collecting the loose figures that i didnt have as a kid eg. last 17, then took the jump to MOCs and MIBs in 2001.

Hmm not long at all really, had 80% of the figures when i was younger i would of thought and only really started collecting the ones that i didn't have about 1 year before i joined on here. Since i joined this forum i moved onto the MOC's, MISB and never really looked back.

Think i will be happy when i get 1 of everything figure MOC and graded and change my 12 backs from kenner to palitoy. After that who knows
