A few months ago we had a big problem with spammers, most of whom seemed to be based in the States. Edd had to move the site. It all seems to be sorted now though.
As for IOP, there's probably a few members on here who post on there as well (even before the recent influx) same goes for RS. It's just Jabba and his eagerness to make this the biggest and most SW popular forum on the web!

Don't worry Yanks and IOP members are more than welcome here! :lol:
