I've made a poll here of five creatures from the Star Wars movies which were made into toys and was wondering which was everyone's favourite.

They were all (except dewback as never had one) favourite toys of mine growing up. I know Jabba isn't really a creature like the others but he doesn't really fall into the figure categories.

Just wondering which everyone enjoyed playing with as a toy rather than a collectible.

Had great fun with my Rancor, well I'm sure I did if I could remember. I know many items ended up deep inside his belly :D

I think your Rancor had a fine diet of vintage SW and Action Force weapons, but I only found bits of paper inside him.

Put that down to his unique digestive system :?

My vote has been made based on the question; The best toy growing up.
The Wampa was the only one i could afford and which was readily available. If i remember rightly, the Taun Taun was tougher to find (where i lived), and the Rancor was too expensive. Was the Dewback available in the UK?
The Wampa was cool with his powerful right hook. I remember how chuffed i was when i went to the toy shop to buy a new figure and came home with him instead :)

Again, this was based on my favourite 'growing up'. Was all prepared to vote for Rancor but then I remember playing with Jabba all the time. Such a great play set. So good in fact that I just bought one from a forum member :D

As a kid I loved the tauntaun, except the reins which I broke pretty much straight away! I was really pleased when I got a dewback when I started collecting again. I dont think/ cant remember it being released in the UK.

Growing up it was always Jabba. He was the holy grail. I loved and still love everything to do with that Jabba's Palace scene. Total, unparalleled, magic.
Plus, he/it has awesome extras, gadgets and even another character thrown in. 8) 8) Uber uber cool. 8)

For whatever reason, Palitoy never released the Dewback or that would of been my choice. As I never had the Rancor, it has to be the Taun-taun, open belly.

I only had two from the list so is a toss up between a Taun Taun or Jabba.

Both were enjoyed but Jabba was a better all round toy. Who didn't love crumb and trapping figures underneath the fat man. I probably would have chosen Rancor if I'd owned one and had never even heard of a Dewback then.

I think I only had a Wampa, Taun Taun and Jabba. But the Jabba set definitely gave the most play value, I used to love his dungeon.

I had the same three.

Jabba was easily the best play option.

Though i did love the Hoth Stuff and the wamp did fit in nicely with my Imperial Attack Base (Which I always used as the rebel trenches) and turret & Probot set.

I would have loved the Dewback though as a kid. Pity Palitoy didn't release it.

Couildn't believe it when I saw it listed in one of Sansweet's books back in 94.

When I started hitting collectors shows in the late 90's it was one of the first things I bought :D

Didn't have the rancor, but when I started in my first school a kid said he had some star wars gear and we chatted about it a bit.

One day he bought in the rancor and just gave it me!! He also had a Barada...but I didn't get that one

I was playing ( :) ) with my new Jabba the other night and had forgotten what a pain in the arse Salacious Crumb is to perch on the side of Jabba's throne thing. He just falls off. Blu-tac is needed

I think you have a dodgy one. My Crumb has been sat on Jabbas throne for months with trouble. :?
