I just sent some bits to UKG yesterday so I'll let you know how they are when I get them back. I've been in contact with Steve from there, who seems cool and on the ball. I looked into AFA but with postage and delivery to the states, UKG seemed the best bet.
Also, off topic, but just noticed your from Grimsby. Me too! Moved to London 7 years ago but still get back home occasionally! Lovely part of the country
I have items from both AFA And UKG, I think AFA cases are ever so slightly better than the UKG ones but i like UKG stuff as they keep a picture of the graded item on there site for all to see.
hobbyists
love what they do
willing to custom make items to your speck
you can get them via phone & speak to a human
are UK based
cost less
always striving to improve there service & product
AFA -
have the credibility / known name
better if you want to sell
have a few real experts on hand for the very rare stuff
as everyone else said ukg offer a first class service steve is always very helpful i sent about 70 loose figures last year i never had any problems selling my spares i just dont ask stupid money for them
Taking the consensus opinion here and sending my first ever figure for grading to UKG tomorrow morning, I have to say the fella Steve that I was dealing with was excellent so far, loads of e mails etc...will let you know how I get on but they appear to be top notch so far.... will get a pic up in the LA thread when it comes back...
Got my Yak Face back in the post this Morning from UKG......it looks super  , really nice displayed. Have pic's up in LA Thread. Steve from UKG was excellent, great communication throughout the process....I would recommend them anytime
The one slight niggle I have with UKG is sometimes they take as long to send an item back than it does me getting an item sent back from toygrader. Their cases do look better than the AFA cases although slightlier easier to scratch and Steve is a great guy.
