Figures with vinyl Capes

Hello.
I have seen people display figures with vinyl capes in two different configurations. One with the top of the cape up and one with it down. Which is correct and does it matter?. I have just bought a nice Princess Leia Organa (pictured) the cape came separate and I have fitted the cape in the up configuration.

Your thoughts please.

The collar of the cape would have been turned down when they were carded, but there is no right or wrong way to display them it's what you prefer and what you think looks best.

I display mine up, as I personally think they look better, but as mentioned above, it's totally up to you.

Small tip:
If you display them up and buy one that's been folded down for a while, give it an iron!
BUT and this really is a but…place the cape between a piece of folded damp cloth and only use a "JUST WARM" iron.
Apply the iron for a few seconds only and check the crease has gone; If not keep applying for a few seconds and re checking.
It makes them look new and very ply-able when pitting back on the figure.

I wouldn't recommend doing this on a VCJ!

I imagine that leaving them up would cause less damage/creasing etc. to them. It's bad enough trying to get creases out of clothes, especially when they have been in for a while

That was my thinking. Will leave alone. My childhood Ben still has his cape collar up.
