Day -5

28/11/13

Got woken up at about 7am for obs and then cleaned the room bloody hell, they make you clean the room! Things have gone downhill, had a cooked breakfast which was not the best thing I've ever tasted. we've heard the rumours

Daytime tv is aleady starting to grate lol. about 20 mins is my maxI started chemo at about 2pm it was etoposide which is a 2 hours and one siringe which is ara-c which is done twice a day. sounds awful

Managed to get out of hospital for a bit after went for a walk and a coffee at a pub near the hospital, excellent with my mum dad and girlfriend.

Nothing exciting happened in the evening isn't that when the dirty French nurses come on shift?just watched tv. 11.30pm got woken up to have my next syringe of chemo ara-c which was a nice wake up lol not.should have made a better job of cleaning the room then!

Keep your spirits up

Hi chaps merry Christmas Eve. I was discharged a week Sunday ago sorry about the late update but I've been an unsociable bastard over the last week and haven't felt up to talking much.

The treatment was tough but I managed to escape any nasty infections, I've lost all my hair and lost a stone and a half but at least I'm home for Christmas.

I'm now on antibiotics for the next year till my immune system is up and running properly.

I want to say thank you for everyone's support especially Scott who provided me with some ps3 games to keep me occupied and Mike who sent me a couple of paintings of jawa's which are awesome, and everyone who has posted on this thread with words of support.

I want to wish everyone a merry Christmas and a happy new year.

I hope in my case 2014 is a better year

That's great to hear that your going to be spending time with your family over Xmas, I'm sure little Charlie will be over the moon to see his dad back and it will bring great enjoyment watching the little man attempting to pull his presents open,

Lost a stone and a half mate? Well I'm sure after Xmas you will have gained a couple of pounds :)

All the very best to you and your family Andy I hope that things will now be on the up for you,

Take care mate and merry Xmas,
