Yep, I bought the Madine in a small shop in Saundersfoot near Tenby whilst on Holiday with my Mum & Dad!

I must of had a few more figures than I thought because I definitely sold my Rebel Transport full of figures. It's not gonna stop me going back up in the attic to look for that elusive Klaatu and the missing front off of the Speeder Bike!

One week ago today.

I'm still so chuffed with this find. Several figures are in better nick than my complete loose collection, but I'm definitely not mixing them up. These are the ones that got away!

This is now my favourite cabinet :)

Is Wally telling ERG that 'he dosen't like him'?

Great spot JC :)

It didn't occur to me before that the loft find not only included my first figure ever bought (Luke FB) but also the last 2, purchased from Woolies on the same day; Hammerhead and Power Droid, kinda nice touch which i like.

There is a final chapter to this loft find, where i had a couple more discoveries 2 weeks ago. :D
Yet again, i was very chuffed. I can now categorically say that there is now nothing left in my parents attic!
I haven't mentioned anything up until now as it was a podcast exclusive. 8)

Really enjoyed hearing this story on the podcast, great to see the actual figs in the tale too - thanks for sharing

Well, as mentioned in the latest podcast; here is where i found the power generator for the Imperial Laser

The rattling told me that i had left something inside...

The Speeder Bike flaps and 3 imperial blasters :)

And then, in a corner full of old toy soldiers i found an old familiar friend...

All together after they got cleaned up a bit

I also found the tube end (Lightsaber Blade) of a vintage Lightsaber Torch, which showed plenty of battle damage!

As you can imagine, i ripped the rest of the attic apart, there is nothing left. :D

TFP, the SB flaps and the 3 Stormtrooper weapons are now reunited with their other friends in the loft find cabinet.

Now i'm off to see if there are any Toy Soldier forums out there looking for a loft find!

This will never happen to me, my parents sold the house that we lived in when I collected SW about 30 years ago, and I actually remember selling all of my figures and some nice vintage transformers at a car boot sale, I got £70 for a day of selling most of my toys, why oh why did I do it?! Nevermind.

Still got Wicket, I gave him to my sister a long time ago and she gave him back about 8 weeks ago, she also has my Luke Stormy somewhere.

Such a great story Jez, my old man was ruthless when it came to clearing out old toys. All I managed to save was my Chewie and Boba. Most people when they find Vintage in their loft just see £ signs but you truly struck gold.

Jez absolutely cracking to see pictures to go with the second part of the story, given this thread a much deserved bump up the boards, great read especially for those new members who missed it the first time.
Brilliant story, one of my favourites off this forum.

Great bump!

Awesome update that I hadn't seen, love the find pics Jez, mixed in with the toy soldiers.

As stated, this is one of the best threads I've seen, every single reader will get a buzz from seeing and reading about your genuine loft find mate, absolutely brilliant 8)

Only thing in my parents attic is 6 ft deep rockwool!

Got me thinking ( which I'm sure everybody is the same ) about the bargain bins in the 50 p shops with all those lovely SW carded beauties back in the day ....4 for a pound! Bloody hell wish I could go back!

Great stuff Jez :D

Lovely thread Jez 8) I'm sure everyone on here dreams of this happening. Recently got my stuff from my parents!' Loft, but I knew it was there + most of it was bought in my early 20's. So definitely not magical like your loft find!

Cool update. Love the shitty condition you found these in. Good idea taking photos before you rescued them :)

Thanks guys, truly wicked feeling to have them back.
Good to hear from you Chris, your notable absence of late has been the forums loss my friend.
I hope you are well.

after hearing your podcast interview. your loft find is even better for me now after reading it a few weeks back. im sure lots of us would love too find our lost childhood treasure.

Another great find Jez, love it 8)

Before being given away mine and Jr's SW stuff was mostly in the garage loft, wonder if there are anygems still up there waiting to be found.

Can't believe I missed this thread the first time around! And it got even better as well - what a great story Jez - thanks for sharing!
