Looking at train tickets, it's gonna cost £122 off peak rtn. That's to Salisbury and then bus from there.

Chaps, I'm determined to attend this one, but it's looking likely that I'll be incorporating the weekend into a week-long break at my sister's in Devon (leaving Yorkshire on the Wednesday before and returning on the Tuesday after). If this doesn't turn out to be the case, then I will certainly let you know once the date is confirmed... I would be more than happy to pick any of you up if it turns out that I'll be heading straight down to the New Forest just for the Saturday and Sunday.

You might also want to consider the fact that you would be travelling in a Morris Minor (top speed 52mph)... so if you get the offer of a quicker (and a tad quieter) mode of transport, then I would say: jump at it! :lol:

I stayed at the Augustus John which is a five minute walk out of the centre of Fordingbridge. Nice cosy little place. Very friendly and reasonable cost with breakfast.
