It's crazy. Foden and Kane stunk the place out again. Bellingham not much better. Eze and Palmer so-so. Mainoo decent, Saka good in patches (so please he scored his penalty!). As much as I dislike him, I feel sorry for Gordon. Most of these games have been crying out for his direct, fast attacking play, but he hasn't had a sniff. Same with Watkins and Bowen. All players who can run in behind and stretch tired defences. Left on the bench during extra time AGAIN. Bizarre.
On a positive, that was easily the most impressive, calm and confident penalty shootout I've witnessed from England.

I was thinking exactly the same about Kane being like Ronaldo, ridiculous how he's not been dropped, Holland favourites for me. Spain/Holland final.
The Dutch aren't great. Turkey missed/the Dutch blocked two or three good chances in the last 10 minutes, and Turkey are bang average.
Assuming France don't bore Spain into submission, the Spanish must be overwhelming favourites in the final.

Bye bye France. You won't be missed. You stunk out the tournament (along with England), you provided pretty much zero entertainment (along with England) you have one of the world's best strikers and he looks like a League Two journeyman (along with england) you have a squad that most managers would kill for yet you play eye gougingly dull football (along with england) your manager seems incapable of inspiring the team (along with england) and has wasted a glorious opportunity to win a European Championships (will England follow suit?)!!

Bloody hell! 2 finals in a row, I have to hold my hands up and say fair play Southgate. Still think if we win it then it's despite a Southgate not because of him.
Much better first half, followed by a complete about turn in the second, with a return to the utter dross we keep being served up with. Great finish by Watkins- really pleased for him. The defender (and his entire country lol) will be disappointed with the ease he was rolled.

Definitely a penalty, just ask the match fixing ref! Beating Spain is a bloody big if.
NEVER EVER EVER a penalty. That is a ridiculius decision. What is the defender supposed to do, stand and let Kane shoot? It's a coming together, nothing more. If you HAVE to give a foul there, and I dont think there is one, it's Kane whose foot swing into the defenders' not the other way round. The defender is trying to block the shot, Kane kicks him.
If I was Dutch I would be livid about that. England may well have won anyway, but that is one of the worst decisions I have seen since the pen Pool got against Spuds in the CL final.
And look what happens when the utterly annonymous Kane gets subbed off. In the six minutes he was on Watkins made more runs stretching the defence/in behind them….ehh one…..than Kane has made in 7 games. AND LOOK WHAT HAPPENED!
Fair ****s to him, I have no horse in this race, but he had a superb season and Southgate has utterly ignored him for the whole tournament cos Kane is apparently undroppable. Watkins, and Toney, should both have played a lot more. It's great to see him come on and show Southgate what he can do and how effective a striker who actually ****ing moves is.
I dunno what is wrong with Kane, but he was completely ineffective, again, last night. For the seventh game out of seven.
And we all know he will start the final. As will Trippier cos ehhh yeah. Why play a LB and a Striker who runs when you can play the same side that have been sooooo pish all tournament!?

Watkins man of the match? Suppose I can't complain. Mainoo's 96% pass accuracy is the highest ever recorded in a Euros. Southgate is lucky to stumble across Mainoo, he's that good he makes Rice look average.
