EU books and Comic Chat

The Silmarillion is my favourite. LOTR second, then Children of Hurin, then the Hobbit.

I agree though. Disney, you can mess with Lucasarts, Clone Wars, 1313 but **** with my books and you're dead!

Is it just me... But do you guys read these books mercilessly, I just love em

Zahn tie in would be awesome I hope it happens

I do read them mercilessly! Although read many other books. Lotr is my favourite and have a very respectable Tolkien book collection... Will have to get pics of my Star Wars book collection up!

When m y son got married he bought me the special edition Hobbit book, the one in the sleeve
Love the book though, vellum printed and the maps and illustrations are awesome

Like Tree and Leaf, Tales of Tom B, Farmer files etc

Tolkien was such a fantastic writer, so descriptive and Gollum....inspired :!:

Thought keep this thread alive! Here's my novel collection, you can just make out the Tolkien underneath... Hasn't got all my reference books and comics but gives you some idea...

Awesome! Don't have the space for hardbacks myself. And they're not flexible enough when reading for me. I'm trying to convince the other half to let me have a third bookcase but no success yet... 8)

Lol it's worth it, I did have a complete paperback collection and then slowly upgraded, took a few years due to the shocking price of some of the sfbc editions

Totally no space in our house for all the books and graphic novels i own, i have one shelf for graphic novels in the study and then under my desk at work around 200 graphic novels (SW, Marvel and DC) all packed in boxes out the way much to the annoyance of my boss. most of the rest of the book shelves are full of non SW stuff. David Baldacci, lee Child, David Gibbons, Robert Harris, Conn Iggulden, Terry Pratchet, Tolkin, Micheal Crichton, Richard Castle, James Rolins to name a few (i like pulp crime and historical 'faction'). a right old mix of hardback, paperback and even some signed editions knocking about.

Bloodline and the last oracle by Rollins are cracking reads, loved them 8)

Power to the books (sod the e reader, not the same as holding a book and immersing yourself in it, and
" owning it". Can't have ebooks on show like this).

Damn right!

Matt - that looks pretty much lie my bookcase- love the David Baldacci, Robert Harris, Conn Iggulden books- I also have a lot of James Patterson

I didn't buy these but if anyone is in particular need of on i can always try to pick it up tomorrow. They were £1.25 each. I don't know anything about them so have no idea if that's a good price or not.

What can I say Iain, great literary taste...
Just started on the Will Robie books by Baldacci, only 49 pages in but already hooked.
Never read Lee Child before but watched the Jack Reacher film, enjoyed it so thought I would try the books but being me went all in and bought all 21. My wife pointed out I had 'Better Bloody Like Them' and then something about a normal person would buy 1 and see - ha.

Got Knight Errant 3 and Darth Vader Ghost Prison in my bag to read as well, but might be a week before I get to them.
