I can understand why some people would make these comments about reseals if it's something they don't want in their collection, although I feel it's each to their own as long as nobody's trying to pull the wool over anyone's eyes.

I have no problem with reseals and agree with the comment about the pleasure there is to be had putting these things back together. I'm sure all of us with reseals in our collections would love sealed copies but we either can't stretch to the cost of them now a days or maybe can't even find them available. I really just wanted to get a small piece of my childhood back and after first buying a few reproductions years ago when I started collecting, realised pretty quickly that I didn't want to go down that route......that said though I still do have a few very high quality ones of rare (ish) pieces I'll never be able to afford.

I do have a few that maybe could fool an untrained eye into thinking they're sealed and can see if I ever sold them on that someone could take advantage so I guess that's the issue for some people. I certainly would never knowingly do this though and these items are really just for me to enjoy and not something I ever really plan on selling.

With all that said I think it's just good that we all enjoy looking at our collections, no matter what condition and as long as we're not coning anyone then it's all harmless fun!

Hey Fellas,

I've got absolutely no grievance with anyone on here Jorn, no apology necessary mate, Karen's beyond all sense I'm not sure if she does it to wind people up or she is that far removed from reality that she believes what she says. I understand that most of it was aimed at her inane ramblings but as Iain said it's the sweeping comments that got to me I guess.

Just felt like some members saw it as an opportunity to belittle anyone who has reseals in their collection and the impression that they think those that do are stupid enough not to put safe guards in place to ensure they are never sold as legit bugged me. The two comments I quoted annoyed me the most, why do some members think it ok to make statements like that knowing full well it will make others feel like crap. Don't get it guess I never will which is why I generally stay out of threads like that one.

SWFUK and it's inhabitants rocks, this place is more like a virtual pub minus the beer than a toy forum. RS sometimes feels like a school playground where all the cool kids hang by the shelter shed and throw **** at the less cooler ones :lol:

Personally which ever way I see it, there are lot of people rounding up one person. Regardless of reseals etc or what comments she makes isn't it a little unfair to have so many negative comments directed at one person.

Nah- i see your point but i think she inflames the debates on purpose.

If your studying to be a doctor in university, and your loud and make wacky claims like the brain is made out of pizza, you have to expect negative comments.

On a more serious note, I don't look at any of her threads as its sheer tosh - toronto tosh :lol: so I have no idea what the curent state of affairs is or what its all about, nor do I have any desire to know & I would suggest if you want a stress free day to do the same guys, as I have said b4, she is barking & on a sectionable (if thats a word?) level IMHO, she does it for atension & that is what she is getting - take the fuel away & the fire will fizzle out.

I got one of those as well. Just replied saying that although I appreciate that they have a difficult, unpaid job, I think it is a joke to get an 'official warning' - not sure how that will go down
