Cracks in yellow bubbles.

Just went through 75% of my MOCs and found 3 ROTJ cards and new broken bubbles on the bottom. All 3 cards had deeply yellowed bubbles.

The cracks were considerable as well and I could tell they were new because the bubble parts were found in the star case.

What do you think of this?

Seems a bit weird that they would implode or explode without some sort of a knock however little.

How long have they been there? When was the last time you checked?

They have been in the same place since I bought them- un moved. The weequay looks like its constricted at the bottom and cracked it.

So this is why people go palitoy......except for double stems

maybe because theyve been standing upright since you have had them. (a mix of degrading plastic and gravity...... :|) maybe...i dunno

I am planning to keep my MOcs for my son (he's only 2 yrs)...

Gravity and yellowed bubble does make sense...but it is depressing.

Yikes Grant! Thats is one scary prospect. How many years has Zuckuss been standing on the shelf Grant? Was the bubble yellow when you bought it or has it deteriorated over time?

Are there big fluctuations in temperature where you have them stored?

temperature of the room they are kept in maybe also may add too degrading of the plastic
