confirmed figures sold on Palitoy 30 backs

Hi Folks, I have a friend whose not on SWFUK that wants to know if R2D2 also came on a Palitoy 30 back. Using a few of the great Palitoy reference sites such as Jason's http://www.freewebs.com/mrpalitoy/ and John's http://www.palitoy.org/cardback/palitoy.html I know that apart from the first 10 ESB figures on 30a backs and the first 21 ESB figures on 30b backs there were some SW wave figures found on the 30b backs. Can anyone advise a confirmed list of SW wave figures found on 30b back Palitoy cards and point me in the direction of any reference photos for these. I recall seeing a reference website showing photos for all the confirmed Palitoy MOCs but I can't seem to locate it.

That's correct. Most of them are very very rare and you are unlikely to be able to get hold of them as either cardback or MOC.

Here's the 12 backs I have:-

I also have Ben as a reseal:-

I know there is a partially sealed Chewbacca.

The others, I have never seen pictures of.

In terms of ones you could get hold of, the Ben and Han Solo come up occasionally on cardback. Have never seen MOCs of either of those.

And on the 20 backs, the Luke X-Wing is fairly common and can be picked up as cardback or MOC.

Thanks James that pretty much answers my question, I obviously misread it and was going by the figure on John's site which is out of date.

Oops just realised that some of those (R2 & TFP) are obviously 45 backs Doh !!

Dunno what's on there, it's some bits and bobs that Darren Simpson owned at the time that were on display at the Palitoy Archive.

Would like to hear about this reference site. Was it all cards in the world or just Kenner or just Palitoy?
There was a new web site that was limelighted on rebelscum a few months ago that was trying to put together everything in a website
with a look on making a book of it, but all the images were used without permission so the site was taken down.

Ah yes, I remember that site. Again, very hard to do without permission to use photos.

Very few photos exist that are out in the public domain. I can't find any for ones I haven't seen first hand or own.

Recognise some of those nice 30 backs, they are sitting pretty in my collection
Also recognise a couple I could have got my hands on but didn't

Goes to show how tough SW characters on 30 backs are to find!! Know of a few in existence but never actually seen any factory sealed MOC examples in front of me in the flesh :!:

This was one of the cards I took as I existing with testimony from a trusted collector when the new matrix was setup. From memory most of the original
30 back testimony came from Dave Tree with a second update from Darren Simpson and/or Gary Smith. It was the only way to fill in some of the gaps
as photos are scarce of some of these pieces.
