Convicted, appealed - appeal went nowhere as evidence too strong. He's now taken that to the CCRC which apparently has a very low rate of success (3-5%). So thats a judge, jury and three further judges have now found him guilty of rape. Whilst it wasn't a 'violent' attack, it was morally irresponsible (along with cheating on his partner).
The girl was deemed as consenting to Macdonald, but Evans was invited by him to join in, not her. Remember also that two mates filmed it from outside. Its creepy and more than a little rapey. I'm totally with Ben on this one.
He's also still serving his sentence, albeit on license (he'll also be classed on the sex offenders register). As for playing football.. if a club wants to appoint him, then thats their prerogative. I would not tolerate it if he joined Leamington.. or Wimbledon. I think until that license is over, he should volunteer in some capacity to show that he actually understands that what he did was completely unacceptable.
