they will have their day again, with probably the best young squad in the world at the moment, they could do a utd and rule for a decade

here's hoping

just need a couple of young strikers who can find the net against any team other than the scousers

the one thing we have left to look forward to is a record score at Anfield in a season - I'm predicting 12 in total, a 3-0 will do nicely

just hope the lads confidence isn't shot

as long as no neck no goals Bellamy is around we needn't worry

True, but they need a goal scorer. I guess that could be Van Persie, but he will need some back up.
Ohh was Hellb's tackle/foul really that bad?
From what I have heard that was the BEST thing he did all night?

Hleb has to be one of the best dribbler's in the league at the moment - it really does look like the ball is tied to his laces at times, if he had a bit more confidence/ability? in front of goal he would be the perfect midfielder

once VP and Adebayor are playing regularly together I don't think there will be too many problems scoring goals

That looks like a pretty good draw for the 3 English teams in the CL 1/4 finals.

Liverpool will be happy enough with PSV, although they have played them already they know they aren't a bad side (that right Spoons!?) and Koeman was in charge of Benfica when they beat us last season.

I fancy United to beat Roma, they aren't a great side (Roma I mean) and with the second leg at OT, they should be comfortable enough, assuming they find a second striker from somewhere.

Chelsea should be too good for Valencia, though they are the kind of side who are capable of frustrating the life out of Chelsea and sneaking a goal. But with half their team banned by UEFA, after that punch up, and the other half fighting with each other (as is the Valencia way) I reckon Chelsea will win.

The option of a United Liverpool final is still there, as is ANOTHER Liverpool Chelsea meeting in the CL, how many times in the last 3 or 4 years?

Looks like a Sixth CL winners cup for us then :P

I think Benitez will be extremely happy with the draw, we know what PSV are/aren't capable off so it should and hopefully be a straightforward run into the Semi's for us. Elsewhere i think Valencia will beat Chelski but Utd will just be good enough for Roma

i just think that they will have to much for you mate , i would prefer liverpool though as you lot are a piece of piss to beat

thats why you sounded so relieved when i text you the draw what was it

thanks.......YES
to me that says thank ****

smith and er..... oh **** it lets put oshea up front
I've heard they've put the Chinese guy in the squad for the weekend !!

PSV should be an easy game as they never gave us any problems in the group stages, just as long as we don't underestimate them on the pitch.

Boro away was never an easy one for United when McClaren was there, god knows why! But, with Southgate in charge I fancy United to win it.

Still cheering for Boro though! :D

really , that is a surprise

i would like to say i am cheering for liverpool's opposition but.... well you know

I was away in Newcastle all day, only got home literally as they blew the final whistle. From what I heard on the radio though it was pretty comfortable for Liverpool, especially when the second one went in.

PSV really that bad? I actually thought they were an ok side.
I beat it made Arsenal fans feel great seeing the team that beat them get hammered at home by Liverpool  Sorry Spoons couldn't resist.

Fingers crossed for Roma and Valencia wins tomorrow night!

PSV are just a very average side who either don't know how to attack us or are too afraid to. Both group games were very comfortable and this was just too easy !! 8)

Does mean (hopefully) the second leg in 2 weeks time will be waste of time. I guess Benitez can give a few of the squad players a run out.
