I know we'd all gone through the 'stomach punch' of thinking we'd lost her when the news broke of her stopping breathing on the plane. But then the news from her camp seemed to suggest she was going to be okay, and now obviously we have lost her. A terribly sad day, especially as she had more to give and who knows whether her character had a major part in the yet to be filmed EP 9. Really sorry to have lost her, she had a unique spiky humour on chat shows and I think we've lost not just part of our childhood but a charismatic human being.

Lost for words. Just devastated. Not shed a tear for a celebrity before, but the Princess deserved a few. One of my best presents this Christmas was her new book.

Was just talking to 2 women working at a counter in Sainsbury's about celeb deaths in 2016. Just before I walked away I said "they tried to take Princess Leia and failed..... yes". Then I got a text from my sister.
