I found out this morning and to be honest it has only just sunk in now that I have had a chance to read some of the posts on here and FB - I am gutted for people like Bruce and Grant as I know that they loved her very much and I am gutted for all Star Wars fans old and new that have seen her in action

Finally I am gutted myself, as although I never met her in person, she reminded me a lot of my Grandma who passed away a few years ago - they both had that same dry wit that only came with seeing the world - my Gran had been involved in acting as well (she had also been Cliff Richard make-up artist at one point) and although she was getting on & her body was failing her, she still had some amazing stories to tell and a great way of delivering them. Carrie Fisher was the same - I was really excited to see her back in TFA and it really doesn't feel real right now that we will not get to see her again (barring the scenes she has already filmed)

Sad day for Star Wars fans all over the world

It's pleasing to see her tributes as leading story and on every front page.

Sometimes I think of Star Wars in the same league as other cult films I am a fan of. It's amazing to see just how loved she is beyond us lot.
