Hi fellow collector's I need your help please

As you all know on the back of Vintage POTF cards it states to collect all 92?

I have researched this and find 37 carded? Did the rest get released as coins

Please help as it us doing my head in lol

I really need your help

well i try to explain.

popularity and sales in star wars was begin to decline in the 84/85 years so to try and keep the toy line alive kenner came up with the idea of offer another goody or premium with the purchase of a figure so they came up with the coin. But the toy line was in terminal decline at this stage and therefore kenner decided to pulled the plug on the idea.

The coin idea was to collect all 62 but only 37 coins came on a carded figures to get the rest of the coins you had to mail away directly to kenner.

The collect all 92 obviously refers to the whole vintage figures that was now available.

There are 37 potf coin card figures.

It certainly is :!: A hell of a lot tougher than a Tri Yak.
And at least twice, maybe 3 times more expensive! be worth it though if ever I could afford one :)

Well I rem passing on a mint example many moons ago :!: The bubble was virtually clear with perhaps the slightest of a slight tinge. It went for around £1200 :?

Hi

Great forum!! really happy I joined this group!

Thanks to all the replys really appriecated!

So I can collect 37 carded figures and the rest are coins.

Am also looking to collect carded only of POTF and ROTJ if anybody is selling to a fellow collector!

Thanks

Despite the fact there are only 37 MOCs, the POTF run is almost impossible to complete because Anakin and Yak are so expensive/rare. In fact there are about 5 POTF MOCs that these days cost well over £1000. so I would only start going down that road if you are prepared to spend 10 grand on the three or four rarest ones, when you can probably pick up the other 33 for less than that.

Yes the rest are coins up to a total of 62 coins (there is a 63 rd coin and small x wing coin)but like I said. The coins after 37 which were available on card were mailaways only.

Either collecting all potf carded or the coins is a super difficult and painfully expensive goal.It is doable if your wealthy enough and prepared for the long haul.

I know some collectors that have been looking for years for certain Category V coins, with no luck....

Ian

And that would have probably been me until after needed just three to finish the set.Saw a complete set for auction and decided to get it over and done with in one hit. Then sell of the duplicates. But this was back in 2005 prices were different then.

Thank **** I completed my set years ago, prices have gone silly since then. It'd definitely cost you well north of £10k to get a full set now.
