I have been on this forum for nearly a year and thought I would mark this particular post, with a big thank you to all members.
As a newbie ( still am) I was welcomed, my very amateur questions, met with patience, tolerance and great advice.
This is a fantastic forum, and one which all others could learn valuable lessons from!
Being a member, has made me even more of a SW junky, thanks guys.
I had to put a few words down ......
I thought this occasion I would mark,
With a few words I shall now embark,
Upon a journey of thanks, to all the members,
Who have drawn a flame from the SW collecting embers,
For many a year I collected, with no focus, or real idea,
With your great advice, the picture became more clear.
DT sabers, VCJs, MOCS Pochs and PBP,
We're veiled in shadow to a newbie like me,
I have listened and learned,
looked at limelight s and sadly yearned,
But soon realised, it's not the value, or " what is expected",
Only your own path needs to be respected.
I have "met" many characters in a short time,
Posts on everything from banging tunes, to the TT crime.
This forum, I am so pleased I found,
Where decency, honesty and myrth truly abound.
All walks of life converge in one place,
The common denominator set in space.
Discussions, tales, etiquette and lores,
The wonderful world we call Star Wars.
So thank you to all, my comments sincere,
To members the world around far or near.
I know now I will still be ridiculed by non SW, and called names by them,
But at least on this forum the lunatics have overrun the asylum
A happy breed, content are we,
In all the SW sweetness that we see.
I love the banter, advice even pathos,
Stories of gain, laughter and loss.
So I will end in thanks a full roll call,
To SWFUKers one and all.
