Any thoughts on last night?
Spoons?
I thought it was a great game, probably the best I have seen this season. TF Liverpool aren't playing Barca! How Arsenal got through the first 20 mins without being 3 or 4 down I will never know. To say they were taken apart and taught a lesson would be an understatement. Fair play to them for coming back from two down in the second half. Although I can't see them winning in the Nou Camp. Ok, Barca won't have Pique and Puyol, but Inesta will be back, and Arsenal will be missing Fabregas and most probably Gallas and auld Shaven-arse. I just can't see anything other than a Barca win, albeit it should be another great game.
I'd say it's 70:30 in Barcelona's favour. Not beyond the realms of possibility for Arsenal to win, but it will take something special.
I just hope whoever wins through goes on to lift the trophy. Two great teams to watch and both clubs run properly.
On another note, will Wenger EVER learn that rushing players back too soon only ever leads to them re-injuring themselves!? Gallas last night was probably the 357 milionth time that an Arsenal player has come back (normally a month after being out for "2 or 3 weeks") only to aggrevate the injury and put himself out for ANOTHER "2 or 3 weeks" (read a month to 6 weeks). Do Arsenal have the worlds worst medical department or does Wenger just refuse to listen to them!? Either way this continual re-injuring of players is doing them no favours at all.
