Any thoughts on last night?
Spoons?

I thought it was a great game, probably the best I have seen this season. TF Liverpool aren't playing Barca! How Arsenal got through the first 20 mins without being 3 or 4 down I will never know. To say they were taken apart and taught a lesson would be an understatement. Fair play to them for coming back from two down in the second half. Although I can't see them winning in the Nou Camp. Ok, Barca won't have Pique and Puyol, but Inesta will be back, and Arsenal will be missing Fabregas and most probably Gallas and auld Shaven-arse. I just can't see anything other than a Barca win, albeit it should be another great game.

I'd say it's 70:30 in Barcelona's favour. Not beyond the realms of possibility for Arsenal to win, but it will take something special.

I just hope whoever wins through goes on to lift the trophy. Two great teams to watch and both clubs run properly.

On another note, will Wenger EVER learn that rushing players back too soon only ever leads to them re-injuring themselves!? Gallas last night was probably the 357 milionth time that an Arsenal player has come back (normally a month after being out for "2 or 3 weeks") only to aggrevate the injury and put himself out for ANOTHER "2 or 3 weeks" (read a month to 6 weeks). Do Arsenal have the worlds worst medical department or does Wenger just refuse to listen to them!? Either way this continual re-injuring of players is doing them no favours at all.

Great game, and i am really hoping Arsenal can sneak a 1-0 at the Bernabau.

Nou Camp mate, Nou Camp! (typical United fan, knows FA about footy!  )

they've got a 1-0 in the bernabau before so the nou camp will be no problem  :D

It was a great game, but as you say the Arse were taught a lesson -but to be fair Arsenal just looked scared until half time, and can play a lot better

I think it will be closer in spain, but I'm still genuinely optimistic. It's now a one off cup game - any win will do.

I'm more concerned that they'll go out to the curse of Maureen

And you are bang on about the injuries - They let Fabregas play on with a broken leg!

Nasri is almost as good as Fabregas in the centre, but Campbell might get turned inside out in defence

Looks like Fabregas and Gallas are out for the season now.
HOW do the Arsneal medical staff still have jobs!? Alternatively if it's Wenger who keeps over-ruling them then someone in the clubs board needs to have a word with him and point out that it goes wrong EVERY SINGLE ****ING TIME!

not every time - Fabregas against Villa was a stroke of genius

Ok, slight exaggeration, but it goes wrong a lot more than it goes right!
Even on Wednesday night Fabregas was pretty annoymous (by his, admitedly high, standards) until the penalty.

can't argue with that and it looks like Wenger is prioritising the CL judging by this afternoon's team

can you see Chelski slipping up now? Liverpool could have a big say

Haven't seen the highlights of the Aerseal game but the guy on the radio said they were a bit fortunate, probably more because Wolves defended so well but still. Keeps it interesting at the top I'd say.

Spurs have a bigger say than the 'Pool. Mind you the penultimate game of the season (Pool V's Chelsea) could come down to Liverpool needing to win to make the Champs league but at the same time knowing a win will near enough hand United a record breaking 19th league title and a fourth on the spin.

No shame in losing to that lot!
They will take some beating this season. I think United had a great idea in losing to Bayern, save themselves another beasting from Barca in front of a few tens of millions of people.

 i am still thinking of Ronaldo mate sorry, and you'd think after winning the cup there in 99 i would make that mistake

It's alright, we make exceptions for you glory hunters.......I mean United fans!

Did you watch that shite yesterday Jay?
I saw the first 45 mins and it was some of the dullest football I have ever seen. United were pretty poor. Well to be fair they were great, until they got within 30 yards of the BR goal and they it all ground to a halt.
**** ME BR are up there with Stoke and Bolton when it comes to entertainment. Not once in the first half did they string four passes together, without someone hoofing it aimlessly (and I mean AIMLESSLY) towards the United box. How they are mid-table in the PL I'll never know, and WHY anyone would to watch that!?

Ohh and yes Liverpool are now fooked, from what I've heard on another day they would have won 2 or 3 nil but....they won't make 4th now. Probably won't make 5th either.
Nor will United win the league.
Fair play to Pompey for making the FA cup final, be interesting to see if the FA/UEFA let them into Europe next season.
