Are you still having fun collecting?

Good post^^^. This past few months Iv seen myself finish with SW collecting and start picking up other stuff. Unused Skateboard decks that I used to skate as a teen. Also just last week I picked up my first MOTU carded figure, again one I had as a kid. It is really refreshing to work on something non SW for a change but It's still cool to see what you People are picking up tho.

I think you're right mate. I still enjoy collecting SW at the moment but it can be refreshing to pick up other bits. I bought an eagle eyes Action Man recently and a carded Mr T. I like looking for other stuff. I have a couple of skateboards I use but if I had a bit more space I could easily collect old decks. I think if you have a collecting mentality and like retro stuff as I do there's so much you could collect. I have to keep a lid on it :lol:

Yes I am still having fun but it is not the same buzz as it once was :!:

Rediscovering vintage SW in the mid 90s was just an amazing phenomenon and I loved it Having a little taste of what was available from a local shop and then starting to go to local fairs, getting educated and meeting loads of collectors and dealers was an experience and high that will never be matched! As said pre internet just made it sooo exciting going to these events because it was only there U would c all the vintage goodness 8)

Saying that if not for the internet I prob would not have achieved what I have in my collecting so I cannot really complain. Also as said being part of this forum and great SW community is truly great

Unfortunately the amount of money involved in this hobby has corrupted it :? I hate the underhandedness, the repros and the people just purely in it for the money with no true love for SW :!:

Way of the world I suppose and things seem to b getting worse so it is great to have this wonderful escapism of SW and collecting vintage SW to take U back to better times, happier times-the golden childhood memories

When I do start buying again I'm only going to do so on here as most of you guys are top blokes! Lol and I'll pray the bubbles survive the transit to NZ!!!
