The first multipack to be issued by Sears during the 1979 holiday season was comprised of the twelve original figures released the previous year in 1978. All twelve of this particular set's figures came on 20-back cards. The figures were neatly packaged inside a colourful box created by Kenner Canada especially for Sears. This set was only available in 1979 through the Sears Christmas Wishbook. The action figure group image on the box was the same image found on the chipboard Death Star box''
there was also a nine pack available

Wow,I had no idea there was also a 9 pack  need it!!!, its got a power droid in it, chances are pretty much zero of ever owning one I suspect though, I mean has anyone on here ever seen either available for sale?
This has been On my wishlist forever. Its a grail for me, but yes not to many floating around. I know of a few in collections but they don't change hands or not in public an i am sure i cant afford it if one becomes availble either.
Ah, i remember visiting that exhibition in paris. He had some great items on display there. left next to the vader (not in that picture) was a Meccano VC Jawa 12 back, and in the same room was also early concept art for early cardbacks displayed as a rocket fett with the original artwork for the firing mechanisme, prototype 12" figures etc...
i bought the exhibition folder, but that was highly dissapointing as not everything displayed was pictured and nothing was detailed described on the plates at the exhibition. Even for seasoned collectors you sometimes had to look carefully to find out what you where looking at.
But he has a very nice collection, no doubt about that.
Edit, at this site, you can see a larger picture of that display case
