Here are my Nien Nunb figures. Not my favourite figure perhaps, but a solid one nonetheless. Since the last TOTW, I have been able to add a Ledy version to my collection to keep things interesting :)

The superb Variant Villain website (my Bible for variant identification) does sterling work, but they haven't yet had a chance to assign L and R codes to their Nien Nunb COO section. Consequently, I cannot give that info here, but I will nevertheless try to pinpoint which variants I'm showing below. From left to right:

A Smile variant with the COO erased from the right leg. He's holding an M5 Smile blaster.
A Unitoy variant with the left-shifted dot at the end of 'L.F.L.' on his left leg, and with a 'Made in Hong Kong' with the lower 'G' at the end of 'Kong' on his right leg. He's holding an M1c Unitoy blaster.
A Lili Ledy variant with the 'copyright LFL 83' on his right leg. He's holding an M6b Lili Ledy blaster.

I've also included close-ups of the 3 blasters in the order of M5 Smile, M1c Unitoy, and M6b Lili Ledy.

I'm happy to be corrected if there is a specific story relating to the TIE Fighter Pilot that I don't know about, but in general the smell of a freshly opened vintage Star Wars figure back in the 70's and 80's is something those of us old enough to have done it will never forget :). Just the memory of that fresh plastic smell sends me crashing back through time to being a little boy once again!

I may be wrong or it may be an urban myth but wasn't the factory using the strawberry short cake plastic or some sort of scented plastic at the time when they produced the tie figurers, as i say its just something i read , to explain the sweet smell at the time when new, may have read it on here at some time may have had its own thread years ago all adds to the star wars toy collecting fun :)

I had this as a kid and i loved any of the alien figures! I have this loose and carded, will post some pics later👍

Here he is, not my best moc. A little shabby round the card edges...
Thanks for sharing this moc, I think it looks really great (y)

This figure is particularly striking on a Tri-Logo card in my opinion, the red really does "pop" against the yellow, a tough one to find too.

@welshwookie, this one took me a very long time to find, if I see one I'll let you know.
Good luck in your search.
Wow thanks for sharing this beauty. Sorry to read the tri-logo nien numb are not easy to find today  I agree the red and yellow looks best (y)

Oddly something about the Nunb I really like, not quite sure why, but he has a lot of variations in my collecting focus & I have very much been actively trying to put all known variations together for him in terms of baggies & mailers or which there are a plethora, I'm (I think) now only missing a few of the tougher to find piece to see a run completed, I really should get a carded example to compliment them.

Here's a pic of the mailer run to date

Thanks Frank for sharing your awesome baggie nien nunb collection. It looks fantastic, I did not know there are so many different baggies (y)
