Heading over to the big smoke of London next week, any members Recommendations for shops that stock vintage SW? Loose figs, Carded, graded.....Appreciate any tips, thanks... :D

Jeff, so far in London, I've found absolutely............**** ALL!
Don't know if anybody else knows of anywhere but the nearest I get is the BP fair which is about half hours drive. Unfortunately for you it's this coming weekend.
Theres a shop in Covent Garden that sells old looking models/busts of characters and modern. Ill find the name for you. It's certainly worth a visit. :D

There's a guy in Camden market who sells vintage toys including Star Wars but it is all absolute ****.
It wouldn't be difficult to fill his area with really quality stuff and make some decent money but it's all very half arsed.

I didn't know that Pete. I'll have a look next time I'm up there.
Camden market, you will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy

Yeah, pretty much the same over here in Dublin, Sweet FA in shops.... Was at a couple of markets the last time we were over in London, Portabello and Camden, nothing there either :( Missus wants to head to Brick Lane market on the Sunday, Is that any good?

Yeah Brick Lane market is pretty cool. Don't know if you'll find any vintage Star Wars stuff there but you never know.

Very good, thanks for that Pete

Have never seen any vintage in Brick Lane.

There's a thread here from a few years back where we talked about the guy at Camden market.

This is another one on overpriced crap I spotted down Portabello road:-

There was a shop selling vintage star wars in london it was 35 yrs ago though

The guy in camden is still there though ( david )

Pete's right, the guy in Camden Market has loads of stuff but most of it is overpriced and average condition. He said when I spoke to him that he has better stuff not on show for serious collectors which I told him I was. Let's just say he didn't produce, came up with loads of excuses.

I think there is also a shop on a road near potabello road market, had loads of stuff down in the basement.

IT would be wonderful to stumble across the quaint little shop in some town or village that is trapped in a time warp selling these vintage toys but in reality they have sold the stock to all the well known dealers.
The best one was the closure of the palitoy factory in coalville Leicester that had some kind of buried volt of goodies?
keep digging 8)

Sorry to go OT Topic a little but I know of a Vintage Shop in Poole, Scaraborough and Windsor :) Anyone else know any more? :)

Where and whats the Vintage shop in Poole? I go down that way quite a bit and have never herd about this place.

There's an absolutely fantastic shop I go to that sells vintage star wars and other vintage toys.........but I'm not going to give away my secret.

I saw what looked like a good vintage shop on one of those 'cash in the attic' type programmes. A house owner sold of her brothers Star Wars collection to this shop while he was travelling in Oz. She thought he would be happy with half the profit. The memory of this programme is a bit hazy but I think it was just outside London (that narrows it down  ).

Despite numrous web and tv listings searches I never found it again.

Anyone else see this?

Hey Gorneesh! I visited that area 4 years ago and can vividly remeber visiting a shop which had loads of SW. At the front of the shock it sold records and at the back SCIFI Collectables. I am 90% sure it was in Poole or it could have been in Weymouth. The shop itself didnt have a name. I would love to know if ts still there :)

Chris - Ooh :p Come on spill the beans!  PM coming BTW :D
