Well as the title suggests boys ...ive been had by a member on here.

I only buy from here because i have utmost respect and trust with you guys.

Last year november i purchassd a lily ledy yoda. My most wanted post was answered by a member statiing they had one. Yes!!! I thought. I asked to see pictures and he sent me them vi a email. Very detailed and in great nick. He wanted 60 squid. And i paid via pay pal gift. I know ....i know..but i thought i could trust the guy. Any way days pass and turned to weeks.... no sign. I emailed him and too be fair..he emailed back and communicated well. After much deliberation we decided that he would give me a refund. However he stated he was skint and was it ok to pay the refund after christmas. Sure i said ..totally understand. I text him over 7 Days ago....silence, no response! My suspicions arose i checked the potos he had sent me on my email. Low and behold . The photos were taken from a mexican seller on ebay!!!! I even sent a message asking to split the refund so we both did not lose out. Silemce.
Any way all the **** i wanted was a simple ll yoda not a ****ing rare grail piece. I have paid for two more supposed ll yoda and they turned out too be kenner. Ive spent 130 squid for a kenner yoda. Sometimes i just want too give up

For the sake of the members on here I feel you should contact him again and explain if he does not resolve to your satisfaction then name and shame for everyone's protection.

He's been tapping up members on here for the last few months it seems. He tried offering me a cheap Yak if i paid by paypal gift. As i didn't know him and he wasn't an established and known member here i said no.

You really ought to report him at your local police station. Perhaps get Edd or one of the mods to dig up his PI address. These people rely on the fat that most people won't bother to report them.

To be honest - they were never a 'member' - the obviously joined the forum and started replying to lots of wants threads - I think it lulled people into a false sense of security - this guys has tried to rip of loads of people and I think there are quite a few that would be happy to meet up with him in person

I have seen this happen on this forum many times over the years. The thing is members need to stop jumping on these new one time posters. They come on here..offer **** and some of you act like a pack of hungry wolves. Think about it before you hand over your money so quickly. I know sometimes these people are legit, but many times they are not. I feel for anyone who gets took, but try to make sure you are dealing with someone you either know or make damn sure the funds you send are not in gift form in paypal.

But just found it hard getting a ll yoda ..so when the chance arose i pulled the trigger. Bah!!! Hey pete...i would report him. He is covered because he states he posted it ..he has communicated with me and the blame is with the po. Trust me pete . There is no credible evidence to suggest he has conned me. So the can prove he sent you the item? How so?
"he states" so what?? He can state what he likes. Unless he can prove that he posted the item to you then it's not going to look very good for him.

You can also tell the police he is a known scammer, something people on here can back up, and you only found out after sending him the money.
Chances are he's caught out a few people with this move. If even 2 or 3 of you can report him to the police he'll be in big trouble.
Remember to sign up to paypal you need to show some ID. It'll also have the details of the bank the money was transferred to.
It doesn't really matter if you believe reporting him will do any good. Do it anyway. Because it might!
If all it does it put the shits up him and makes the police aware of his name for the next time he cons someone then that's massively worth it in my opinion.

Sorry to hear about this, hindsight is obviously a wonderful thing but this is why requiring Paypal gift payments is not permitted on this forum. It only takes one low-life to spoil it for everyone.

Put the word out on the boards and FB (talk to Iain, Todd, Jason) find out if this guy has done anyone else. There's a massive chance he has. Some people may be keeping quiet about it.
