A special piece you sold that you wish you hadnt?

I used to have Canadian transition Luke Bespin and Luke Farmboy (the ones with a ROTJ sticker over the ESB logo.) Sold them both as I got a really good offer at the time. I dread to think what they'd be worth now! I can't find a photo of the farmboy but here's the Bespin:

I really did have some amazing Luke Bespin pieces back then :(

Sweet item Ed, almost makes me want to start collecting LB MOC's.

Boxed Palitoy ESB x-wing. Inserts, sticker sheet, instructions. Gutted I sold that

Then again I sold some old shop stock plush Ewoks and pretty sure I saw one or two of them at FF the other week. Gutted about selling those as well

First and foremost all my original toys to fund the purchase of a ZX81! Even regretted it then (not the purchase of the ZX81 which I loved but the fact I had to sell them at all!)

Pieces wise, probably a c9.5+ Palitoy 30 back Yoda MOC. Heaven knows what the would go for now at Vectis!

Even though I sold a full set of Kenner 12 backs a few years ago for just over 2K it doesn't really bother me even though that same set would be worth at least triple that. The only thing I wish I'd kept hold of was at least one of the 3 AFA 85 vinyl Jawa's I've had over the years. I let one go way to low in price due to not keeping an eye on the way their price was increasing and although the other two were a fair price at the time I still would have liked one to have been held back. I have since picked up a couple of UKG ones but would have preferred one from each grading company ( daft I know as it should be about the figure and not the sticker that comes with it but that's the way it is sometimes).

The only other thing I wished I'd kept hold of was a Darth Vader Palitoy 12 back reseal that I used to own. It's the only reseal I've ever sold but the one I should have kept so that I could sell my MOC Vader on. I know a MOC is always going to be better than a reseal but the one I sold looked pretty undamaged and wouldn't be a problem for me to be swapped out.

With all the above said though these are very small regrets as I do still own these pieces in a way and don't feel that I've ruined my collection in anyway for me.

My biggest regret is I kept all my loose figures which were complete from the 70's , 80's and then in 2007 sold them all , over 70 mint figures for £170 , I thought it was a good price at the time , however had 3 mint last 17 figures , luke stormtrooper, Han carbon and imperial gunner , so probably not since then I got back into collecting I still got the buzz , but not the same as if you had them since you were a kid . I have one piece left from my childhood, it's a boxed Palitoy hoth Wampa and he will be staying with me !

nothing major.

my childhood falcon, was proper yellow from years of play but i liked it that way, annoyed thats gone.

kellerman book, sold on ebay a few years ago for £70 but now it goes for stupid money.

moc tri-logo imperial dignitary with palace blaster. ive got a thing for miscards and errors at the moment.

Nothing major for me either I find it hard to let stuff go.

I regret letting my Droids R2 go though. I think I only got £37 for it too back in 2011. Ouch :(

I've got a few.

12 back proof cards - I wish I'd kept one of them, just to 'have'.

Vinyl Caped Jawa with the POP removed. I sold this to Gary. It had a great story attached to it and was part of a sale of about 20 of them. I remember a guy called Josh was selling them back in about 2001 - IIRC they came from a cinema employee who was tasked with giving them away. He kept these, but took the POPs off to send off for the free stuff.

My childhood Luke X-Wing and Han Hoth - the first figures I got. Ended up swapping them years ago; seemingly before I'd heard the word nostalgia.

I had a complete MOC run, but I was unemployed at the time and wanted to go to SDCC 2010 so I sold them all. In that run as a MOC Han Small head on a 32 Back ESB Card. Wished I'd hung on to it but needs must at the time.

I've been lucky enough to never have to sell anything, however their was a time about 5 years ago when I thought the whole lot was going to have to go. It was all packed away tho and I just didn't mention Star Wars for about 2 years.

I look at my collection now and most of it is packed away in the loft and I am beginning to wander if I should sell a lot off as it's been packed away for years, let someone else enjoy it and all that. But I just think I would regret it at some point.
