Anyone else got sadness after realising that something you sold years ago shouldn't have been sold :| Mine was a SW carded C3PO (think it was 12 back, but it may not have been) that I sold with the rest of my Kenner first 12 in 2002 when I started Concentrating on Palitoys. I know Gary Smith bought it along with DSC with no pop, and Gary moved it on again a few years ago. I loved this figure as it was my first costly MOC in 1998/99. The 3PO card ive always loved, and the only thing wrong with this moc was the bubble had cleanly lifted a nit on one side.

So whats your regrets??

If anyone does own that C3Po I will pay well to get it back by the way :)

I sold my first Droids Fett when I got an offer I couldn't turn down - and have since sold my 3 Pack to the same guy which I was sad to see go - however both gave me a great return

To be honest, I am not good at letting things go (I have since purchased a Droids Fett again) but in order to further your collection (or pay bills!) you need to do it

I was one short of a Kenner run before I sold all my offerless Han Hoths in 2010 for about £50 each - looking at £150 each to buy them back today, and I really have a need to put a full Kenner run together

On a positive note just picked up a 65 back on ebay for a sensible amount :) Only 5 to go..

I regret selling pretty much every single thing I ever sold

There are 2 things I kick myself for selling:

1. An almost mint Palitoy ESB logo hanger back in mid 90's for the paltry sum of £35, which even then was cheap.

2. MIB complete Mattel Landram from Battlestar Galactica, sold it in mid 2000's to help pay for my wedding. Great return on it as I only paid £75 for it but now it's worth STUPID money :(

Sometimes the reality of collecting is you have to let things go. The bills don't stop flying in and payday is too far away! So you look to your collection to plug a financial gap when really you don't want to let anything go... It was only last year I had to sell about 6 of my graded MOC's (some of you may have brought them from me) but you move on and focus again when things pick up.

When i first dug out my childhood collection and posted it on here, i was going to swap childhood doubles and various bits i had for things I needed.

Some very kind people messaged me to say I would regret letting anything from my childhood go, so i didn't & I hung onto it all.

I'm sorry to those who i discussed trades with, but am really happy i kept hold of it all and just bought the missing bits from the likes of Itfciain.

I used to have Canadian transition Luke Bespin and Luke Farmboy (the ones with a ROTJ sticker over the ESB logo.) Sold them both as I got a really good offer at the time. I dread to think what they'd be worth now! I can't find a photo of the farmboy but here's the Bespin:

I really did have some amazing Luke Bespin pieces back then :(

Yep, I'd be kicking myself too over them :( I'd properly be having nightmares about it...

You'd be surprised Edd - Han Hoth transition hasn't increased in price at all (going by one that sold last year)

Really, that's interesting. I thought everything had gone bonkers, a trilogo Gam Guard just sold on eBay for $350

Lol - I just watched that one - nice - but not $350 nice !

Biggest regret was trading my childhood falcon for a fugly robotech vehicle when I was 12...

Recently, sold my open bubble Ledy stormie, would give an arm to get that back...

Everything I sold as a child and most things as a collector.
I'd love to own a transition piece, very cool.

I had two misb rebel command centres, I picked them up around 88-89 from a Woolworths in Cleethorpes, pretty sure they were the white special buy stickers too for £4.99 each.

Sold them about 10 years ago for around £60 each when I was not into collecting

Yeah, only one of two mocs with norwegian price stickers I've seen since the 80s, I'd be daft to let that one go... :p

Annoyingly there are only two Norwegian Vintage collectors too
