2016 Collecting Goals / hopes and dreams.

I was just wistfully looking at my collection and thinking, 'where to go from here'? Ive had a think and decided I will work towards in 2016:

Goals:

1. Upgrading the last few of my loose collection that I'm not happy with (I wasn't too picky on condition on a few figures and regret it now)
2. Continue with my Luke FB focus (I think this will mainly be restricted to cardback collecting).
3. Keep picking up ROTJ MOC's when I can afford to.
4. Few of the cheaper Mailer figures.

Hopes and Dreams:

1. Fett Mailer
2. VCJ
3. Luke FB Kenner 12 back

What about you guys?

1. Transform my collecting room.
2. Complete my baggie run of main figures (only a handful to go).
3. Find a few more elusive Amanaman pieces.
4. Continue to add to my Trilogo run.

Hopes and dreams:

Empty a loft!!!

1. Add that elusive Helix Death Star Sharpener to the collection, and other Helix bits in general.
2. MIB ESB box complete Boba Fett 12"
3. Grey limb Hoth Stormtrooper
4. Palitoy MIB Han Solo blaster
5. Complete my 12 and 20 back Palitoy cardback run.

Plus continue with my loose variant figures.

I think these are both going to fall as a combination of goals and hopes and dreams.

1) Buy at least one 12 back, preferably Obi-Wan.
2) Make a good start to my fledgling Obi-Wan focus
3) Complete my want to buy list


Here's hoping that December 2016 will see this lot ticked off and Rogue One being fecking awesome!

3. Decide what I'm doing with my TIE Fighters - get more, expand into other vehicles or sell up and concentrate on Special Offer vehicles.

Also, I cant decide if to put a loose run together or not...

Change of direction for me this year.

Goals.
1. Get at least two more loose yodas different from the four I have.
2. Complete all loose ewoks from the main Star Wars line.
3. Lili ledy Klattu loose with the fluffy skirt
4. Boxed speeder bike (not Kenner)

Dreams
1. Trilogo yak (for a fair price)
2. Another miscard
3. Three more loose ledy figures (starting to get the bug for these little bastards now)

Let's see how this goes. I want to try and tighten up a bit on spending this year so I think I have set achievable goals.

Goals/dreams in order of priority:

1) Complete esb moc run of empire characters
2) More Vader moc's as side focus
3) VCJ - if it's the right day, at the right price and I'm in the right mood I'll pull the trigger (and keep it a little secret from the wife :twisted: )

Goals

1. Continue to add to my palitoy moc and trilogo miscard collection (2 years since I picked up the last miscard)

2. Complete various sets I'm working on...12" and micro collection.

3. Finally get a display room built!

Dreams...

There are particular figures I'd love...though would obviously be glad to get any on my list, but in particular;

1) HRS/Luke Skywalker Trilogo miscard. Have the opposite combo to match it...and annoyingly have missed out on 2 in recent years! :?

Over the last couple of years Ive actually met most of my goals, so my lists are a bit back to front and my main goal is oddly about tidying, sorting, storing and trading rather than buying more!

Goals

1. Rationalise some of the excess/duplicate character MOCs and bootlegs on display into storage to be rotated over time
2. Paint app error for my Han Original focus

Hopes and Dreams

1. Keep working on the Han Original focus; particularly foreign MOCs/card-backs
2. To find an affordable multi-pack that includes Han original... post-FFX that may need to be well below affordable for a while at least!
3. Complete the conversion of my garage; already double glazed and painted, but in need of a damp-proof course (one wall is damp) and add some more form of heating than I have now as well as better lighting before potentially moving the collection to a new home… I fear though that this may be a further 2-3 years away till its completed.

With the loose figures almost complete, I'm going to get as many ships, creatures and vehicles as I can.
Add some carded figures to the Zuckuss Focus.

Hopes:
VC Jawa.
Orange hair Luke Farmboy.
Maybe burgundy caped Ledy Bib Fortuna & Squidhead.

Just hoping to complete my 96 moc run. Only 6 to go... not sure of what direction to go after that.

No real goals for me but would love to......

Upgrade my resealed Palitoy 20 bk Hammerhead.
Own an opened bubble Palitoy 12 bk VCJ, no figure required just the card back/bubble.

Don't think I'm asking for too much but who knows how many years the last one will take to find.

Maybe try and find a minty EB set... again. Depending on price and availability and my desire if one becomes available.

Lastly similar to last year try and resist selling of the last of the Bespin run.

Finally get planning permission to rebuild our old childhood house so we can have our own space. Fingers crossed in the next few days.

Whenever we're handed the keys i'll be in the market for display stuff from Christian so i can finally display my little collection properly. In the hunt for larger items such as a ROTJ boxed complete Falcon and other vehicles especially while they are thankfully affordable.
If i have funds after bricks and mortar expense my MOC goals are Number 1 - Leia Hoth on a ROTJ card, kenner or pali and a Ben Kenobi 77 back.
Thanks to members of this forum my loose run is going good, adding figures here and there from the sales thread.
My dream is to own a Luke FB and original Leia on kenner cards. I never really remembered Pali cards back in the day so i have my interest is in Kenner cards !

My goal are very achievable I think as I am down to the last few on a couple of things

1: Last 3 moc's I need ( Potf Luke Poncho, Rotj C3PO limbs, Tri Lumat )
2: Last 2 Potf coins I need ( Chirpa, Lumat )
3: Last 2 Ewoks boxed Playsets ( Woodland Wagon, Family Hut )

Dreams :roll:

1: Find a Potf Chase Playpack instruction sheet
2: A Rotj Ewok Proof card
3: Find some more Potf & Toltoys moc's locally for peanuts again, then I maybe able to complete the above lists so much easier :wink:

This is a great thread. Some somewhat attainable goals:

(1) Add another non-U.S. Han original MOC
(2) Add another SW ANH display to the display run
(3) Add another original Han proof

Lofty goals:

(1) Complete my full U.S. Kenner original Han MOC run (just have a few left - but those damn 20 backs!!!!)
(2) Add a Han original or Bespin first shot
(3) Lose 20 pounds.
