Weequay on a 65 back
Luke Jedi on a 65 back, although would go for a 77 back if the price and condition are right
The Emperor 77 back

Sign of the times, you would have been looking at £20-30 for Weequay and The Emperor, and maximum £50 for Luke a few years ago in dead mint condition. People just seem to be hoarding things at the moment as so many common things are proving hard to find.

Tell me about it Edd. I really cannot believe how hard it is to find a Weequay as when i started on this quest i thought this one would be one of the easier ones to pick up. Luke Jedi is pretty much double that and still hard to find a 65 back for that price in decent condition. If i wanted to pay £250 then i could get one but not a chance.

We are most definitely on a similar quest Inza. I'm after Luke and The Emperor too. Annoyingly I could have bought the Emperor on Sat but ummed n arred for a minute and Dan grabbed it! :evil: Never mind, there'll be another.

If the Emperor would have been the right price and condition i would have pounced straight away. I did that with my Gamorrean Guard when i saw it, right price (in today's market) and definitely right condition.
As we are on a similar quest i just hope we dont start trying to outbid one another :shock:

Yeah I should have just bought it, it was pretty nice, not perfect. Can't remember the price, it was off Chris (Jedi Masters) and his prices were good/fair, it might have been about 80 quid. I did have a lovely R5D4 in my hand though which I bought so I don't feel too bad! Picked up a B-Wing pilot too. Don't worry, I mostly buy on here and Facebook now so not much bidding going on and I don't buy that much. As you say, these figures are available if you want to pay through the nose on ebay or for graded ones. If I see any of those three and I don't want them or already have them I'll give you a shout :wink: I already have a Weequay.

After taking a break from collecting for most of 2015 and letting go my previous collections over the few months preceding that....I'm looking to put together a budget/beater'ish full run of loose figures. Incomplete, rough and ready, i don't mind...

Also have a little idea of a MOC run I'd like to get together, more details on that soon :wink:

Finally, maybe a little reference guide or two more for the thread I started last year with the help of Lars!

Great thread and enjoyed reading everyones wishes, fair few hunting Vinyl Cape Jawas

I've got some special pieces i'm looking for.

1. Complete my Orme art boxes (four to go) stunning pieces, look amazing on display
2. Loads more Poon troopers
3. Get some more really minty MOCs off a really nice chap I met in Brighton, these things are grade 90 easily, stunning
4. Maybe put some spare cash aside and send it to Deber, think she really needs a break


On a serious note the most important thing for me in the new year is to get my Man Cave up and running, I have a nice large garage which I will convert, line out and insulate properly etc. Its there, already purchased some display cases just need to get my arse into gear as fed up with buying things and then just boxing them out and not being able to enjoy them properly.

Things I want to add to my collection;

1. Complete my loose run (never get round to it and still a fair way short, will be priority)
2. Continue to buy MOCs (want every character on a card to start with)
3. Greedo items (MOCs and oddball)
4. Any Luke farmboy MOC
5. Loose complete Kenner Death Star
6. Complete Droid Factory
7. SIGMA - Not as frequent as last year but must at minimum add Threepio Tape Dispenser and Snowspeeder Toothbrish holder
8. Start a nice loose 12" run
9. Once complete loose run start a POTF2 loose run (yes you read that right)


DREAMS

would love a Yak face MOC this year

Mine are quite simple.

1) Expand my COO variant thread with new figures and update old ones, because I have neglected it far too much the last 18 months

2) Try harder to complete a couple of 'work in progress' collection issues (figures I need that I've backseated buying for far too long)

3) Possibly meet up with some loose collectors at some point (in Newcastle?) and trade some things from the "treasure trove in the drawer" over a pint of Guiness or two
