Well I think it's fair to say England could be on the first plane home. That is one tough group.

Yeah you guys have a hard group to start with.

More luck for us, i think Belgium has an easy group.
Hope we can stay in the game a little longer this time.

If I was Belgian I'd be happy with that group. And you've finally got a good nation side as too. Could be a promising World Cup for you.

Group B looks tough too. Could be Fireworks in the Spain v Holland game. There will be no love lost there.

I don't think it is the hardest of the groups - but it won't be easy - draw with Italy, beat Costa Rica and then winner takes all against Uruguay

I cant find Wales in this list anywhere........ :?

That's because they didn't qualify! :)

That is one tough group for sure! Don't see us qualify UNLESS Suarez gets injured!

Look at Group C! Goodness me that's an open group!

Tough group for England. I can see Uruguay doing well as it's gonna be as close to a home WC game as most of their fans will ever get. Probably ditto Costa Rica, but you should still beat them. I think you'll do well to get out of the group, i can see you coming third, but it only takes one good result.

As always some incredibly hard groups and some farcically easy ones. Why FIFA don't seed everyone i'll never know.

I am with you Iain, not as bad as people are making out. It will do us good to qualify from a tougher group stage than we normally get. this might actually prepare us for the knock out stage.

I don't think Uruguay will be the crunch game, I think we will have a similar run to Italy...

Beat Costa Rica, beaten by Uruguay leaving the England v Italy as the match that decides who goes through in second spot. The trouble is its the first match in the group and we never start well...

BTW I am gonna go and put a fiver on Forlan scoring the winner against us after his poor showing when he was at UTD

WTF piss easy group.

Italy will face the same problems as us with the humidity etc but they'll also be weighted down with meatballs and **** and also have an extra hour jet lag than us. 0-0 draw

Costa Rica, most of their squad won't make it through customs due to drug smuggling. I could grab 10 mates and give them a good game. 3-1

Uruguay take out Suarez and the other striker whose name escapes me and you have an aging team. Suarez will be protecting his fitness for his summer transfer. 2-0

If I was the manager I'd take John Terry with the sole purpose of head butting Suarez in the handshake. He'll get a red card but as he's retired the sanction would be worthless and it's give us an even better chance of qualifying

If I was the manager I would just stick Mumbo in goal. We may not score but he would guarantee we will not concede...

second in the group level on points with urugray!
qualify on goal difference
then knocked second round 0-0 with germany as they win 5-3 on pens.
pens missed by k.walker and rooney

Get down the bookies and stick a quid on all of that and you'll be a millionaire if it comes true

High praise indeed :D if it wasn't for those dodgy knees I could have been on that plane to Brazil

Agree with Ian, not the easiest of groups, but not the hardest either.

One of the toughest things in this group will be the first game against Italy, not only will they have to face Italy, but it is where they have to face them in the Amazonian capital - Manaus. The heat and more the humidity will be the killer here for England not Italy. It is the worst place to play for them.

More so I pity the fans who will have to make the trip to this place, it's dangerous, lawless in parts, rife with drug barons, poverty stricken and will cost a small fortune to stay there with basic amenities - NO THANKS!
