I think some people do it as a hobby in its right almost like painting war figures etc some people feel it breathes new life into badly damaged figures I haven't stripped any figure myself although when I was younger I probably tried to strip leia :wink: oops wrong strip

Certainly each to there own however I have to agree with robstyley But I have noticed some people are collecting them as a collection in there own right personally as stated its original or nothing for me oh and I feel this topic may attract a few replys :wink:

ScruffylookingNH I know exactly what you mean at one point if the eyebrows were different I kept them as variations it becomes quite obsessive but as you say it extends the collecting

Im a variant collector and it's quite fascinating to see how many variations of one figure there is and I did it for the same reasons as your self and although it's not everyone's cup of tea I love it :-)
