I saw Explorers last night, great movie until they get in contact with the aliens. After that I think the movie gut a little bit ****** up

Okay I had a movie weekend.

Friday I saw Inseminoid from 1981, I was very surprised. The movie was fantastic, a really great scifi horror movie (y) Stephanie Beachham, Victoria Tennant and Judy Geeson are all fantastic in this movie. I do not know any of the male actors

Saturday I saw Invasion of the Body Snatchers from 1978, I had seen a scene from it when I was a kid and heard it was a great movie. I must say this movie was also fantastic, I was really surprised how the movie end and also surprised there is not a second movie  I was thinking did the aliens win  Donald Sutherland, Leonard Nimoy, Veronica Cartwright and a very young Jeff Goldblum all do a fantastic job in the movie.

Sunday I saw 2 movies. First I saw Roadgames from 1981, I was again very surprised that this australian movie was so great. Jamie Lee Curtis and Stacy Keach are awesome in this horror movie.

The 2nd movie I saw sunday was Night Moves from 1975 with Gene Hackman as an detective. The movie was awesome and the end was a big surprise to me. A very young sexy Melanie Griffith, James Woods and Jennifer Warren are also in the movie and do a great job.

lots of good movies there Lars, haven't seen a couple of them, i remember invasion of the body snatchers, creepy stuff!
I agree, I was very surprised how the body snatchers end. Donald Sutherland becoming an alien and screaming at his friend  but also cool with a movie where the good does not always win (y)

I haven't seen invasion of the body snatchers for years and years, probably decades actually. But I read the book last month. It's not bad at all.

Nice, I did not know there also is a book (y) any idea why there is not a sequel of the movie ?

The book has a different ending. Good old Hollywood, find a decent book, adapt it for TV/cinema and totally change the plot/ending. Same as they did with I am Legend and I'm sure I could think of a few more if I had time.

No idea on the sequel, sorry.

ok thanks, great to know (y) yes hollywood make some bad changes, many years ago they also gave the vikings in viking movies 2 horns in the helmet. But they never had any horn in the helmet. Hollywood was so good to manipulate so child viking costumes have horn in the helmet and danish soccer fans go to a match with 2 horns in the helmet on the head :ROFLMAO: it was first after the tv series vikings that I saw and heard people talk about why do the vikings not in the series have horn in the helmets and people from the danish viking museum and national museum told people they have never found helmets from the viking age with any horn in the helmet it is just something hollywood did in the old days with viking movies 😂

Last night I saw The Manhattan Project from 1986. I thought it was a scifi movie because imdb write it is a scifi movie. I did not see any scifi in it. But I still think it was a really great
movie about a 2 kids who steal plutonium to make an atomic bomb in protest that the us government have build a secret nuclear weapons lab in the little town they live in. John Lithgow do a great job in this movie and has a major role. I have not seen any of the kids before in other movies. But Timothy Carhart has a small role in the movie as a security guard. Most of the movies I have seen with him, there he always play a bad mother ****** (y)

Last night I saw a really funny movie from 1983. Joystick, I can only say if you like to play old video and computer games or collect them or just like hot naked girls. Then this funny movie is something for you 🤣;) Joe Don Baker plays an angry old father who wants to close the local video arcade and he also try to keep his daughter Corinne Bohrer away from it all the time 😂
Jon Gries from Fright Night 2 also has a role in the movie as gang leader 😂

I love the PAC-MAN panties 😂

and last sausage between the ****s 😂

Last night I saw the The Monster Squad from 1987. Tom Noonan are the frankenstein monster and Jon Gries from Fright Night 2 playes the Werewolf, Leonardo Cimino from the 80s tv series V playes an old german jew living in a house on the street and all the kids are scared of him :ROFLMAO: Mary Ellen Trainor that I guess we all know as the psychologist from the lethal weapons movies play a mother to one of the kids in the movie and also the wife to a cop in the town. I think if you like the goonies then you would also love this movie ;)

Monday I saw Guardians of the Galaxy 3, I must say the first and the second movie was fantastic. But I was really disappointed with the 3rd movie. It could have been much better than it was.

Interesting, on Guardians. I loved the first one, but thought the second was a load of pseudo religious bull ****. The third is on my list, but feck knows if or when I will get to see it.

Yesterday I saw Candyman from 1992. It has been many years since I last saw it and I think it is still a really great movie. Virginia Madsen are fantastic in this horror movie (y)

Yesterday I saw Evil Dead 2, finally I found it on dvd in a shop that sell used dvd movies. I did not remember anything from it, it must have been 20 years since I last saw it. Awesome movie just like the 1st and the last movie (y)

love evil dead 2, haven't seen the latest one yet, but heard good things, the first three movies are ace, love them all.

I bought House of the dragon season 1 on bluray, so far I have seen the first 6 episodes and I think it is great, but I still feel something is missing if I compare it to game of thrones . Have any of you seen it and what do you think ?

Finally I have seen the last episodes of House of the dragon season 1. I think it got a lot better at the end (y) Episode 9 and 10 are the best

Saw "Rally Road Racers" at the weekend. It's amazing, the plot is soooo good, there are twists you would never see coming, the violence is heavy but not too bad, the sex scenes are tastefully done, the acting is top notch, the CG is barely noticeable and the soundtrack is brilliant. I'd be amazed if it doesn't win every Oscar going.

Alternatively, it's a **** kids cartoon thing that is a predictable as the sun rising.

Well I made it 45 minutes into Guardians 3 before turning it off. I'm hoping it's more my mood than it being terrible. Rewatch attempt at some point

I saw C.H.U.D. from 1984 last night for the first time ever, I have heard so much good about that movie so finally I had to see it. A really great movie.

01.jpg

John Goodman has a small part in the movie as a cop

02.jpg

Daniel Stern and John Heard has the major parts in the movie and do a great job (y)

I watched C.H.U.D for the first time about 6 months ago based purely off a quote in Clerks II and wasn't expecting much but was really surprised. It's actually pretty decent

I tried to watch C.H.U.D. 2 yesterday, but damn it was bad and I could not see any connection to the first movie. I saw about 20 min. Damn it was bad.

Rewatched Alien: Covenant yesterday. Only my second viewing after seeing it in the cinema. Really didn't like it first time around, but enjoyed it way more on the second go. Very grim in places, but way better put together than I realised- story holds up, effects great, decent acting and script and the throwback score ( to both Alien and Prometheus) was excellent. Glad I made the effort.

Funny isn't it how some films need that second, or even third watch
