whats the average price of a cardback?

Hard to say. Less than a Ã'£1 if you buy the common ones in bulk. Up to Ã'£50 for a rare one of a kind item. I've also paid Ã'£100 for reseals which I've opened for the cardback. These days I tend to pay over the odds on most cardbacks I need as they're mostly rare and i don't have that many left to get. Not sure how much I've spent on my cardback collection. Probably a little over 2 grand.

Thanks for the offer, but I already have a fullset of Biker Scout cardbacks. You can see all the palitoy cardback variations on here:-

http://www.palitoy.org/cardback/palitoy.html

Kenner always have the logo on the front, otherwise you have to check the back for the palitoy address as some variations don't have the palitoy logo on the front. I think I'm kidding myself a bit on 2 grand, it's probably more like 3!

I also have a 2-1b character focus. Got a dozen different ones so far. I think the mouth pieces have popped out on 3 of them. Doesn't affect the AFA grading but does look a bit like he's singing into a microphone!

Nope. Though someone on IOP said one had been seen a few years ago so it's down as reported but unconfirmed on my cardback matrix.

I gotta say I never saw the point in collecting cardbacks as they don't display well but I can kind of see the appeal in what your doing now. Would be a real challenge trying to get every one especially searching for ultra rare ones. Do any of them set you back a fair amount? Or are they all faily cheap to pick up?

The rarer ones can go for quite a bit, especially the 30b's of the first 12 figures. I have a han solo and ben kenobi of those to date!
