It's often said that getting to the start line is much harder than getting to the finish line; something I'd agree with actually... I have despite running 40 of the bloody things only raised money for charity on 3 occasions through marathons and can confidently state that the cash came with more pressure than the training and despite being a massive motivator on event day was so much more stressful than the event itself. To raise the money you have is a massive achievement
