Your Vintage Acquisition of 2013

hey guys the title says it all, whats your best purchase of 2013 and why, is it your grail piece? an amazing bargain? something oddball?

ll start the ball rolling on in may fourth (of all days) i was at a carboot in rhyl and found a guy selling starwars vintage figs most of them loose beaters and some carded modern figs, i asked the guy what else he had a pulled out a tri logo gam guarg beater moc! for a £10 i was well chuffed and my first none internet purchase in many years and got me back into the hobby as my enthusiasm was dwindling. enjoy

Cool piece...made even cooler that it's the item that got you back into the hobby

Mine would be the A-Wing Fighter. Didn't think I'd get one as the price on these is always £200+ but I chucked this guy an offer of £125 and he accepted...made me a very happy camper. It's complete with inserts, instructions and a used sticker sheet and thanks to Leah's Toys it now has a shiney Endor Planetary Map

Hi guys great thread and some great items you all have :shock:

My best purchase in 2013 is this Meccano X-Wing Fighter box. It is my best purchase because this is my first box with a meccano logo on it, but also because on the other side of the box there is danish price stickers on it. This is the first box I have ever seen from meccano that has been sold in Denmark in the toy stores in the 80s. So this is my grail from 2013, maybe this is the only meccano box there is left in the galaxy with danish stickers on it. A grail for my Danish stuff collection.

Before I bought this me and some other Danish collectors thought only the meccano cardbacks was sold in denmark, not the boxes. So this was a very cool surprise to get this box
