your favourite prequel characters

Mine are..........ehhh........well, there was.............ehhhh............nope, can't think of one.

All of the characters who were in the OT who appeared in the prequels were pish poor imitations of themselves. Yoda being a prime example. R2 can fly can he!? Wise the **** up.

The less bad new characters, Qui Gonn, Mace Windu, and Renton were all a bit meh.
Maul was alright, but that over choreographed sabre fight counts against him. Maybe if we got to see a bit more of him in terms of character development, but then George doesn't like **** like that when he could just buck in some CGI instead.

Watto was annoying. As were all Gungans and those trade federation gimps. Then we have Hayden Christensen and Jake Lloyd.

Ohh and Natalie Portman should have got them out. Or at least done several bikini scenes.

I don't understand the R2 thing about him not being able to fly, I mean your watching a science fiction film about people, robots and aliens that fly from one side of a galaxy to another in a matter of minutes...........But R2 can't fly? :?

It's more the fact that he didn't feel the need to fly at any point in the OT but then magically in the prequels he's flying all over the place.

1 QUi Gon-at-the-Gin
2. Dooku

I thought these two were different radical styles of Jedi that we got glimpses into both challenging the grain of what we knew about the Jedi. Dooku made a conscious decision to follow the plans of Sidious. That relationship got further explored in the Clone Wars.
Jinn has now been credited for the whole force ghost thing. Moving the jedi order on past Yoda

3. Clone Troopers
The clone wars when first heard as a child, I had all sorts of thoughts about what that meant. I liked the fact these guys could actually shoot straight and again in the clone wars animated series, we got a look into their individual characters more. Order 66 was a fascinating idea.

4. Bail Organa
His role in the start of rebellion was interesting. We heard about the senate in Star Wars getting dissolved, although there was too much political boredom in the PT I did find it essential in that storyline that we saw the early themes of what was to come. His role now gives the destruction of Alderaan even more gravitas if you look on the 6 films as a continuous story.

The comedy characters
Watto was good value.. as was Mas Amedda. His brainlessness was comedy gold and you didnt need jar jar over goofing him.

Padme is worth a mention because of Natalie Portman being gorgeous.

I must that I do enjoy your well informed and explained views :) Write some more. My own are crap and just like 'well I don't like Jar Jar cos he's a silly stupid oaf who ****s up the whole film'.
